JOB PURPOSE?Acting as supporting counsel and providing legal guidance on the day-to-day legal transactions for Aldar Projects, such as procurement, construction and commercial matters?English language drafting mandatory - contracts and correspondence with counterparties and government entities, Arabic language capabilities would be beneficial?Everyday contact with the Procurement business unit and related Group business units, providing advice, drafting and reviewing legal documents, as well as contact with government entities to whom we provide development services.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?Support in reviewing and drafting all contracts and legal documents (construction contracts, consultancy agreements, development agreements, facilities management agreements, supply/service agreements, guarantees, performance bonds, amendment agreements, novation agreements, assignment agreements, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, MOU?s, LOI?s, general construction, real estate and commercial and other related agreements) for Aldar Projects.?Support in providing advice on the interpretation and application of contractual and statutory provisions in order to implement and enforce legal contracts or assist in devising strategies for negotiations, disputes and other legal issues.?Assist with legal disputes and arbitrations, directly and through external advocates, including handling contract breaches by third parties and the subsequent breach or termination processes.?Managing drafting of legal agreements / documents and external correspondence.?Liaising with and assisting the various business units such as procurement, commercial and finance with respect to a wide range of real estate developments and transactions.?Liaising with Group business units where applicable.?Liaising with government entities and counterparties.?Managing external counsel in the provision of legal services to the business.?Support in reviewing and implementing risk mitigation strategies on contracts and procurements.?Support in reviewing and developing all template contracts relating to construction, consultancy, development management, facilities management etc.?Provide advice on a variety of matters, not necessarily confined to construction or real estate.?Support on general matters for the legal team.?Support in ensuring proper compliance by Aldar Projects with applicable laws and regulations, and internal policies.?Support in preparing internal governance policies such as data protection, AML, KYC.KEY RESULT AREAS 1. Review and draft contracts and legal documents (construction, general commercial and general real estate). 2. Support development and implementation of internal governance. 3.
