OpportunityParsons is the Project Consultant for the construction supervision of an irrigation pumping stations with underground reservoirs, associated works and SCADA system in addition to construction / upgrading of irrigation pipelines in Abu Dhabi Island.Position OverviewThe Assistant Resident Engineer will assist the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project, with specific duties related to construction of irrigation pumping stations, MCC panels General Electrification & SCADA System works. He will supervise the execution of the works beside site inspectors working on the construction supervision under his discipline.Job Responsibilities????????? Provide effective and regular supervision for installation of Pumps, MCC panels, SCADA ?& Fire alarm Systems and general Electrification.????????? Inspection of material required for execution of project.????????? Coordinate his direct activities with other Engineers and members of construction supervision team to maintain consistency and integrity in the overall construction.????????? Assist RE in reviewing all shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, any requests for information related to his discipline.????????? Coordinate with Parsons design Engineers if required on matters of design approval and resolution of interdisciplinary construction conflicts involving design in his discipline.????????? Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.????????? Assist RE in providing certification on the quality of works accomplished and their conformity to the standards, specification & drawings.????????? Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), if required by the client and witness all relevant acceptance tests required by contract/ specifications.????????? Ensure correctness and completeness of ?as-built? drawings, operation and maintenance manuals in the area of his discipline.????????? Plan for and coordinate with contractor on the necessary pre- commissioning & commissioning activities.????????? ?Generally, supervise, review, monitor and report on progress of works.????????? Act positively and ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.????????? Report back as necessary to Resident Engineer.????????? Monitor, measure and record Contractor?s progress on electrical and electro-mechanical works and provide feedback to the Resident Engineer allowing him to assess the actual construction progress against the approved construction schedule.
