Position: Assistant Manager, ContractsDepartment: ProcurementReports to: Contracts ManagerLocation: United Arab EmiratesIndustry: Real EstateOUR CLIENTOur client is a leading integrated real estate master developer based in the UAE. Specializing instrategic mixed use community projects, they are responsible for the building development ofsome of the major residential communities and tourism destinations in the country.JOB OVERVIEWBased in the Procurement and Contracts department, the role involves working with the projects development team to oversee all aspects of procurement, from tendering to award and contract management, including pre and post-contract administration. The ideal candidate should have at least 07-10 years of demonstratable experience in the construction industry and possess in-depth knowledge of pre and post-contract management.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ?

  • Lead the tender process activities in coordination with Projects & Design team to ensure fair, transparent & competitive tendering.
  • Supervise and manage the pre-qualification process of selected bidders.
  • Review/ prepare RFP packages, ITT documents, scope of work, conditions of contracts, determine the risk and contingencies through structured analysis.
  • Assure accuracy and appropriateness of the contract text and other attachments.
  • Ensure that all tender activities comply with commercial and technical requirements.
  • Ensure procurement schedules, critical milestones and deliverables are achieved according to tender requirements.
  • Review technical and commercial tender evaluations in coordination with the respective consultants.
  • Lead PTC meetings, propose value engineering in accordance with the end-user and assist in tender negotiation activities (as the Client?s Representative).
  • Prepare Award Recommendation Reports for management approvals.
  • Prepare LOA and Contract Documents including all required Volumes (i.e. Contract form, BOQ, Design & specification documents, tender clarifications, etc.)
  • Ensure that all tender and contract documents are meticulously uploaded in the database.
  • Oversee contract management administration activities including interpretation, compliance and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure contract compliance with the terms of Contract, mandatory Insurances, advance payment guarantees, performance guarantees and other related requirements.
  • Ensure regular communication with internal and external stakeholders including senior management, project delivery teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Present progress report and analysis on project activities (e.g. Change management, contractor claims, etc.)
  • Manage a team of consultant professionals on post-contract strategies providing advice, training, guidance and methods, etc.
