Role in the OrganizationStatement of the purpose of the position in the CompanyALS Field Engineer is responsible to ensure that Weatherford ALS are providing the highest quality of service with our operations to clients, with an emphasis on QHSE, and are maximizing prospective business opportunities within the marketplace through technical solutions, client support and increasing profitability to the Weatherford organization. ALS senior field engineer is also responsible to train the local staff for carrying out the job independently on client location. Responsible for maintenance of the equipment to ensure the jobs being performed in safe manner.The position to which the position reports in the CompanyThe ALS Senior field engineer reports directly to ALS Operations Manager.Position location and working arrangements (site or office / B2B / resident / rotation etc.)The Position location is office and field with Rotational Schedule.Performance ExpectationsTeam player with excellent interpersonal skillsFlexible attitude to working hours and conditionsAbility to work on own initiative and unsupervisedConfidentiality of the Weatherford dataTo prioritize and delegate workload to best suit the needs of the Client and CompanyAbility to manage changeEnthusiastic motivator of people and excellent leadership skillsPossess strong and effective communication skillsEnsuring safety & quality is kept as a top priority with all well planningActive participation in workshop safety & toolbox meetings.Active participation and contribution to workshop specific safety initiatives.Ensure all hazards, unsafe acts and non-conformances are accurately and promptly reported.Ensure third party compliance with company procedures.Responsible for complying with WFT HSE policies, whilst ensuring co-workers carry out work in safe manner.Participate in the review and improvements of Supporting QA/QC Documentation.Train and examine the local staff for their development and learningOrder the equipment and keep track of the orders required for operationsCore Competencies & CapabilitiesProvide technical expertise for ALS operations, on behalf of client requests and/or Weatherford?s operations group.Provide well site engineering and office support as required with some supervision. Common activities include; Operations modeling, technical report writing, and field operations report writing.Identify opportunities for improvement with field operations, with an emphasis on safety and quality.Being aware of customer activity and requirements, ensuring information held is up to date and accurate.Keeping an up to date database of work activity, past & present.Assist others in the group with technical support.Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the Regional Engineering Manager & Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.A schedule is set by Training and development in assessing a person?s knowledge, skills and attitude (ability) against pre-defined standards.The framework of Weatherford Competence Assurance Process (WCAP) is dictated by the principle that as employee tenure with the organization increased exposure and more complex activities.Training level coverage:Product Line Core ? To have minimum knowledge of core processes, basic processes, products, services or equipment.
