As a part of ADQ, one of the regions largest holding companies, Silal is emerging as one of the sector?s leading and most ambitious players.Position OverviewThe Agronomy Officer is responsible for assisting farmers to increase production and improve crop quality by delivering targeted extension services to overcome technical challenges. Monitor the production and crop process by conducting regular visit in the farms. Provide technical recommendations to support farmers in achieving target volumes and meeting expected Silal quality standardsPosition Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities as Partnerships Lead will include the following:

  • Provide technical advice based on knowledge and experience to maximize production in unit of area.
  • Ability to provide accurate production forecasts.
  • Draw farmers? attention to the major issues and help them to mitigate impact through Good Agriculture Practices
  • Work on solving farmers? problems and communicating with internal stakeholders.
  • Understand the market changes in fresh produce in terms of value & demand of the different crops.
  • Have a good understanding of the revenue, crop gross margin of the crop and farms he is supervising.
  • Propose a crop plan to farmers to increase revenue demand driven, high value crops.
