Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for?Food Security & Livelihood (FSL) Senior Officer - OutreachWork place: ?Azraq, JORDANAbout the position:Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Programme Manager, the Senior Outreach Officer is responsible for implementing outreach activities to farms in Azraq district. He/She will map available farms in the area, conduct sensitization sessions on the benefits of organic compost, draft and design the appropriate outreach materials including brochures, flyers and booklets to be disseminated to the farmers as well as coordinate with governmental entities when and if needed.?The senior outreach officer will also be responsible for providing capacity building and support to CFW workers and local cooperative staff as needed.Main Objectives1)????Mapping of all potential stakeholders in Azraq area:?Map and create a database including complete information on all available farms and ranches in the area including but not limited to their produce, volume of production, location, contact information, consent to take part in the project and possibility of cooperation.?Prepare a list of potential farmers interested in trying the produced compost.?Prepare a list of potential ranches that can provide the needed manure for the compost production.2)???Conduct the outreach and sensitization sessions to stakeholders in Azraq area:?Draft the sensitization materials and presentations to be conducted for the farmers customized to their needs.?Coordinate with the concerned ministries for validation and approval of the materials to be disseminated during outreach activities.?Plan and carryout the sensitization sessions to the farmers in the area.?Supervise the provision of a sample of the certified compost to the farmers.?Monitor the use of the donated compost to the farmers and evaluate their satisfaction.3)????Support the implementation of CFW component in line with the project implementation plan as well as the existing CFW processes and guidelines:?Ensure the dissemination of Cash for Work announcements in all vital locations in Azraq.?Prepare the induction presentations materials to be conducted for the cash for work beneficiaries on the first day of their assignment.?Preparing the payroll for CFW beneficiaries including the submission of the time sheets and the payroll sheets to finance department and filling payroll sheets and attendance sheet on GIZ system.?Supervise activities in the field and their adherence to Action Against Hunger work plan as well as policies and regulations.4)???Supervise and support the cooperative in the implementation of activities in the field in order to ensure proper implementation of the project activities:?Supervise and oversee the implementation of activities in the field, and provide guidance and instructions to team leaders and Cash for Work beneficiaries, on the day-to-day outreach activities in different project locations within Azraq district.?Determine and identify capacity building needs for cooperative staff.?Determine and communicate all requirements related to Logistics, Finance and HR for each activity.?Monitor the progress of the activities and ensure implementation as per the work plan, within budget, time schedules and quality standards.?Carry out regular daily field visits to monitor and follow up on the implementation of the ongoing activities, identify and assess challenges or constraints and propose solutions and possible improvements.?Ensure application of safety procedures and standards. Especially with regards to cash for work workers and their use of the protective equipment.?Follow up with the cooperative on time sheets and contracts for the cash for work workers.?Support the local cooperative in the management of disciplinary procedures and disputes with workers.?Ensure proper archiving of project documentation in the cooperative.5)???Carry out all the needed tasks to maintain proper communication and coordination with other departments as needed to ensure smooth operation of activities:?Monitor materials quality and conduct technical checks for each material delivery in coordination with the senior logistics officer.?Assist the MEAL staff during home visits for validation of cash for work candidates? information.?Ensure proper and timely reporting and communication of payroll and timesheets with the finance department to ensure timely processing of beneficiaries? payments.?Maintain an up-to-date inventory information and report on needed items and materials.?Provide adequate and accurate information on activities implementation through reports and meeting as required.6)????Fulfill general responsibilities and contribute to broader Action Against Hunger Jordan operational quality and consistency:?Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information at all times?Perform other job related tasks as requested by the supervisor?Organize and carry out outreach activities to promote female participation in the CFW activities.?Commit and comply with the organization gender, age and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication)?Provide regular reports and ensure proper archiving of project documents as per the guidelines of Action Against Hunger.?Participate in Project meetings as requested.
