You will carry out pre-delivery inspection, basic services and minor repairs. These jobs comprise major chunk of the service business and customers, thereby influencing market reputation. You will ensure that work executed is safe, clean, efficient and as per recommend procedures.What you will do

  • Exhibit activeness in carrying out the prescribed jobs in order to complete them on time.
  • Ensure basic safety procedures are quickly learned and followed for own and others wellbeing.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and interest in various classroom and on the job-training course for achieving professional competence.
  • Ensure cleanliness of workplace, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Company rules, regulations and procedures; ask when in doubt.
  • Ensure that all vehicle repair or service are of highest Lexus quality.
  • Required skills to be successful
  • Possess Diploma Technical certification, ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate) or ITC or Diploma in Automobile Engineering or ITI Mechanic
  • At least 2 years? experience as a General Repair / Diagnostic Technician coming from automotive dealerships
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment to inspect Engine, Transmission, Brake, suspension A/C electrical and hybrid system of the vehicles
  • Able to read, understand, speak and write English well enough to follow mandated trainings and standard instructions.
About the teamThe role will report to the Service Manager and you will be working in a busy workshop environment wherein you will be dealing directly with Service Advisor, Controller, Foreman & co-Technicians in a daily basis.What equips you for the role
  • Diploma Technical certification, ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate) or ITC
  • 2 to 3 years? experience as a General Technician
  • Added value in having valid UAE driving license
  • Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records in job orders
  • Develop openness to accept advice and guidance from the more Technical Advisor & Technical Leader Ability to use the diagnostic equipment to inspect Engine, Transmission, Brake, suspension A/C electrical and hybrid system of the vehicles
  • Understands and works within protocol where necessary, and understands and performs to the requirements of AFM Toyota After sales
  • Must be conversant in English
