Senior Completions EngineerNOTE : 2 roles - 1 rotational and 1 residentialJob details:1. Perform Completion Engineering studies to ensure optimum completions aredesigned.2. Perform Plug and Abandonment studies to ensure optimum integrity andefficiency.3. Provide technical expertise in completion operations including selection,design, planning and execution.4. Deliver timely and accurate assigned completions and workover proceduresthat comply with applicable policies, standards and processes and industrybest practices.5. Provide operational and engineering technical support to Field supervisors andassist the Field supervisors in the decision making process, planning, andforecasting.6. Ensure Health, Safety and Environment requirements are integral to all aspectsof the work.7. Ensure all assigned activities comply with Company standards and bestindustry practices.8. Specify and select completion well stimulation, testing and well interventionrelated equipment adapted to the well operating conditions.9. Verify equipment Quality Assurance and Quality Control documents complywith contractual requirements and are fit for the well operating conditions.10. Ensure all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented andlessons learnt are captured for the benefit of future company operations.11. Work closely with Reservoir and Production Engineering personnel to ensurewell requirements are delivered.12. Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal/externalstakeholders and service companies.13. Support Wells Operations in supplier performance management.14. Manage the cost cycle through Statement of Requirements, Authorisation forExpenditure, execution, supplements, and invoice resolution.15. Foster personal development by making regular field visits for execution of assigned well programs.16. Seek and follow up on the use of new technology that has the potential to improve productivity, reduce costs and/or enhance safety performance.17. Participate in daily wells operations calls and morning meetings.18. Identify and capture performance improvement opportunities.19. Plan for future wells and ensure required materials and services are available in country and allocated as required.Communication and Important Working Relationships Internal Contacts: Completion Engineers, Drilling Engineers, Drilling Superintendents, Completion Manager, Reservoir and Development Production Engineers, Geologists, Petrophysicists, Well Interventions Supervisors, Engineering and Facilities Engineers, Contracts Engineers.External ContactsService providers, Equipment suppliers, Drilling Contractors.Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related CompetenciesEducational Qualifications:? Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, mechanical or petroleum engineering are preferred. Experience Profile:? Minimum of ten (10) years? completions and workover experience for oil and gas wells with a major operator.? A strong track record as a Completion Engineer including expertise in completion design.? Track record on plug and abandonments, including planning, design and execution.? Work experience in the Middle East and North Africa region preferred.Competencies/Skills/Others: ? Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with teams.? High proficiency with Information Technology and industry software including Tubing Movement Modelling, nodal analysis, torque and drag.? A natural desire to work with a sense of urgency and critical thinking.? The capability to change and generate process improvements for greater effectiveness and efficiency.?
