Job summary**This role can be based in Dubai, Munich, Warsaw, Cape Town, Johannesburg, or Istanbul.**Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies to power their infrastructure.Amazon Web Services is experiencing tremendous growth, reaching a $71 billion run rate in Q4 2021, at a 40% year-over-year growth.Within the EMEA Business Operations team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Operations Manager to work as strategic business partner to the Emerging Markets SA (Solutions Architecture) team. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership and support an organization of over 135 people split over multiple countries with knowledge, strategic advisory, analyses, processes, tools, and resources. You will assist SAs in implementing their strategy and delivering customer outcomes, and you will drive continuous improvements to their impact and efficiency. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, requiring to dive deep in the details, while staying focused on long-term goals.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders to define, launch and optimize their annual goals and strategic initiatives to meet the rapid growth of the business.
  • Implement, monitor and analyze success metrics and drive predictability in our operations, with your analytical mindset and technical skills (high proficiency expected in Excel, and preferred experience in Tableau and/or SQL).
  • Provide actionable business insights, through dashboards, reports and analyses, to help the Commercial organization make data-driven decisions.
  • Own operational cadences, such as monthly business reviews, to improve alignment on performance, ongoing initiatives and priorities.
  • Champion operational excellence by identifying pain points and driving the adoption of repeatable processes and tools.
  • Identify innovative initiatives, with high impact on our customers or our organization, and help them scale to other countries and organizations.
  • Voice the needs of the SAs and define requirements in terms of tooling, enablement and resources.
  • Collaborate with other Business Operations Managers to identify and share best practices.

  • Professional skills in basic planning, accounting, reporting and communications.
  • Possess solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to build effective working relationship with account management, architecture, and sales operations teams.
  • Experience to create framework and mechanism for reusable assets and contents.
  • Working experience with complex budgeting spreadsheets, reporting tools and billing systems.
  • 5+ years in business management and operations.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  • Prior experience working in Consulting or in a technology company
  • Experience building dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to convey operational status and issues to multiple levels of the organization with the appropriate level of detail and clarity
  • Ability to think strategically and translate high level goals into tangible operational results
  • Ability to work independently to prioritize and drive projects to completion
  • Experience in project management
