Job Description

Role : Legal Officer Location : Abu Dhabi Role Purpose:Responsible for managing the activities/Legal issues allocated to external lawyers plus responsible for following up with lawyers till finalize these activities.Legal Officer is responsible for the placement, follow up and maintenance of all legal actions needed as a part of the collection efforts at ADIB. Litigation officer will perform all duties in accordance with the bank policies and procedures as well as central bank regulationsKey Accountabilities of the role

  • Follow up and maintenance of legal accounts and performing all duties in accordance with bank?s policies and procedures.
  • Prepare all documents & letters if necessary, check the security chqs well & checking the accounts prior initiate the file to external lawyers for legal action.
  • Coordinate with external lawyers regarding legal action to be taken against non- cooperating customers.
  • Follow up on cases submitted to external lawyers to expedite filling the actions
  • Update legal collection Team leader/Manager on status of legal proceeding once required.
  • Provide management and colleagues with guidance and advise regarding legal proceeding if required.
  • Ensure all legal accounts are updated on the legal system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all releases accounts are updated on the legal system in a timely manner and keep following with external lawyers until case complete.
  • Work as per TAT that received by management in all kind of legal action & invoices.
  • Check & prepared all lawyers invoices as per TAT and follow with concern unit until the invoices are paid.
  • Upload the invoices in legal collection invoice module.
  • Provide management with legal/invoices reports once requested.
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers in collection to ensure consistency and teamwork.
  • Ensure that all legal process is in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
  • Working knowledge in collections policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong follow up skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
