Job Description

Role: Lead Enterprise ArchitectLocation: Abu Dhabi Role Purpose:

• Responsible for day-to-day operations of Enterprise Architecture.
• Being a consultant for the business owner and IT, performing trade-off analysis of the alternative solutions.
• Guides and develop EA frameworks/guidelines, Architecture review and EA team.
• Maintain contact with all the IT leaders, e.g., application and infrastructure stream leads, ensuring that theoretical architectures will work the real world both from technical and business perspective i.e. being a solution architect.
• Approves changes to Current and Target Architecture.
• Resolve, delegate, track, and evaluate architecture gaps.
• Coordinate Enterprise Architecture operations across the unit.
• Guide Enterprise Architecture awareness and education.
• Review architectural work products and guide the team accordingly.
• Create and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts/documentation and update the EA Repository with respective to Business, Application, Data and Technology Architecture.
• Participate in architecture reviews.
• Effective collaboration with domain architects from different divisions.
• Ensure that all EA artifacts and activities align with the business goals and objective

Operations-Enterprise Architecture

• Conceptually develop and update the enterprise architecture blueprint

• Participate in the various stages of Application Development cycle as follows:

• Provide consulting to projects on the topics of IT architecture to ensure conformance to enterprise model, standard, while delivering a good solution for the business
• Smooth operation of day-to-day operations of Enterprise Architecture.
• Develop Enterprise Architecture framework/Guidelines
• Approves changes to current and target Architecture

Awareness and training

• Participate in requirement definition and architecture reviews - Shaping architecturally relevant business ideas and giving alternative to solve user concerns showing trade-offs. Supporting requirements manager, in high-level estimation and calculation of IT complex index.
• Develop and maintain intra-domain architectural artifacts: Technology, Applications, Data and Business services provided by domain

People Management

• Lead by example and role model ADIB?s values
• Employ, engage, develop and retain high quality people in the business/function for ADIB to achieve its objectives
• Sponsor relevant talent initiatives within the business/function and lead a differentiated performance management process in line with divisional performance

• Ensure appropriate architecture governance is in place to monitor, control, track and facilitate divisional performance

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Over 15 year of Software architecture and development experience with at least +6 years of experience as Enterprise Architect.
• Over 5 Years of experience in banking.
• Should have +10 enterprise architecture projects implementation using enterprise architecture tool in banking domain.
• Should be TOGAF certified.
• Deep understanding of specific domain in both a business perspective and technicalities of its applications.
• Should have experience in technical architecture assessment and technology program management.
• Proven track record of implementation and managing enterprise Security Architecture
• Should have good knowledge in SOA and ESB and Enterprise Security Architecture
• Should have experience in architecture assessment.
• Should have experience in architecture change management
• Should have effective communication skills
• Strong through and people leadership skills with a service delivery and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong decision-making skills with an overall view of ADIB?s business requirements
• Modeling and analytical skills
• Knowledge of how best support business functions and capabilities.
