A landmark property for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort opened in November of 2018, the resort offers 296 rooms, suites and duplex villas facing the sea, showcasing views from either a private balcony or garden access room, with an extended patio and outdoor space. This luxury beach front resort embodies the beauty of the ocean - the stylish contemporary architecture is decorated with marine themed touches that bring the outside world to life. Home to eight dining venues, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort has plenty of dining options including an all-day dining venue, two signature restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, a pool and beach bar and a sports lounge. Guests are welcome to explore the 400 meter public beach and three swimming pools.An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join Housekeeping department in Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Provides courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Liaises and cooperate with front office to ensure all areas are ready as per the needs of the department.
  • Liaises with banqueting and the food and beverage department in order to ensure all areas are ready as per the needs of the department.
  • Is constantly aware of the room status to obtain maximum vacant rooms for sale.
  • Liaise and cooperate with the engineering department for all maintenance repairs to be done in the various areas.
  • Completes daily checks of all guest rooms on allocated section and report discrepancies found.
  • Ensures daily that mini-bars are checked and refilled.
  • Checks VIP rooms prior to guest arrival and thereafter daily to ensure that the standard is maintained for the duration of the guest stay.
  • Ensures that pantries are properly stocked with linen, guest supplies, cleaning supplies according to the established par stock.
  • Ensures all deep cleaning programmes are carried out as per set schedules.
  • Ensures that plants and flowers are looking fresh and in good condition and to inform the florist of any touch ups that need to be done.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Housekeeping in five star hotel environment.
  • Outgoing personality with ability to communicate with guests, colleagues and make a difference.
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Additional language is an added value
