If so, Amazon Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF) operations is looking for a Graduate Area manager with a record of achieving results. We are looking to hire an Area Manager in Dubai (UAE) to join the team that redefines fast delivery and help us build and grow this new service for our customers. This is your chance to make history. With your help, Amazon will continue to enable people to discover new worlds and implement innovation.Key job responsibilitiesAs a key link between local operations and country business teams you will help to drive innovation, test new ideas and ensure that best practice is being followed.Six key areas that you?ll always focus on include Safety, People, Quality and Customer Experience, Productivity, Costs and Environment.You will be expected to identify and share a best-in-class process across each of these pillars and raise the bar on customer experience. As a front-line leader, you will be a main point of contact for Amazon local ops and merchant store leadership, requiring excellent soft skills. Through these relationships, you will invent new strategies that will help improve our shopper, customer, and merchant experience.Due to the fast-paced nature of this business segment, it is expected that you will be able to operate in a highly ambiguous environment, communicating and interacting with your direct manager on a daily basis.As an Area Manager in a new business, you are expected to be a subject matter expert on all 3P processes, executing and tracking towards program KPI goals.The successful candidate will:Have a completed Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited university.Have experience in leading large and diverse teamsHave excellent communication skills- both written and verbal communication.Possess advanced Excel skills (e.g. confident with Pivot table)Have an impressive track-record in a similar fast moving and ambiguous environmentsHave a sincere bias for action and be passionate about achieving results and driving production through efficiency and process improvementPossess the ability to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and analyze data. Must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving and analytical capabilityThrive on change, inclined to operate with flexibility and commit the time required to get the job done. Willing to regularly travel across sites and working independently in a remote environment.Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/ Manufacturing related discipline or MBA graduate.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.Knowledge of SQL would be advantageous.
