Job Description

To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the above Department in relation to the Company Core Process; thus, directly impacting the opening of the Leisure Facility, delivering the experience, and closing the Leisure Facility.This position manages the strategic vision and financial results for the department, develops succession plans for the department?s key members and maintains a line of communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, F&B Executive, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Executive Sous Chef, Administration Assistant and other Department Directors within the Leisure Facility and Company.Job Scope

  • To be the strategic business leader of the Food and Beverage department
  • To develop and implement strategies to achieve the EBITDA targets through efficient cost control and revenue maximization
  • To review financial reports and statements to monitor departmental performance against budgets
  • To identify needs and manage CAPEX funds for equipment and renovations projects in line with the set strategic goals
  • To work with the Food and Beverage leadership team to determine areas of concern and to develop strategies to improve the department financial performance
  • To continue to develop, challenge, and create realistic, and obtainable goals for the department and Colleagues
  • To design, implement and actively review Standard Operating Procedures for the department
  • To maintain a safe and healthy working environment that is compliant with local regulations (ADFCA) and international (HACCP) best practices
  • To oversee the design efficient measures to ensure prompt, accurate and personalized service to all Guests to achieve high Guest satisfaction levels
  • To recruit, train and develop a team which passionately delivers Guests service excellence
  • To monitor Food and Beverage operational, food safety and hygiene reports in order to be updated on the daily events in the department
  • To proactively plan and implement changes or communicate new and amended procedures within the department to keep the outlets updated with changes
  • To conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports and ensure follow up and creation of development plans throughout the department
  • To attend company learning and development programs and trainings
  • Actively plan and organize internal and external special events to contribute to the success of the Company
  • To ensure all critical situations that may arise are handled by the relevant teams to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Colleagues or Company property
  • To communicate relevant information with Colleagues to improve internal communication within the Department and Company
  • To motivate Colleagues through the effective implementation of incentive and recognition and rewards program
  • Consults with the leadership team to assure the highest level of delivery
  • To display a friendly, helpful, and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our Guests and fellow Colleagues to support Farah Strategy and Values
  • To represent and promote Farah in a positive manner at all times in order to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders
  • To strategize and achieve Department and Company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators.
  • To enforce and adhere to all UAE laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe and hygienic environment for all Guests and Colleagues
  • Adhere to all emergency procedures, ensuring Guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessary
To be considered for this role, you will need:Essential:
  • Possess Tertiary level of education
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene and HACCP Certified
  • 8 years? experience in the food and beverage operations management including 2 years in a Head of Department/division capacity
  • High levels of respect and integrity
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Possess a good leadership, customer service and motivational skills
  • A very detail orientated and hardworking team player
  • Good analytical thinking / problem solving
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage operations
  • Computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Good level of English language
Desirable:
  • Diploma in Hotel and Management or related education
  • Working knowledge of standard cost controls and waste management
  • Previous experience in leisure facilities
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues, management, and external clients
  • Knowledge with EATEC and Maximo will be an asset
  • Additional languages such as Arabic, Russian and Farsi would be an advantage
