A landmark property for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort opened in November of 2018, the resort offers 296 rooms, suites and duplex villas facing the sea, showcasing views from either a private balcony or garden access room, with an extended patio and outdoor space. This luxury beach front resort embodies the beauty of the ocean - the stylish contemporary architecture is decorated with marine themed touches that bring the outside world to life. Home to eight dining venues, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort has plenty of dining options including an all-day dining venue, two signature restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, a pool and beach bar and a sports lounge. Guests are welcome to explore the 400 meter public beach and three swimming pools. An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join in Housekeeping Department in Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • To direct the administration of all housekeeping services for guest rooms, public areas, staff areas, uniforms
  • To ensure excellence in standard of hygiene, safety, comfort and aesthetics are provided
  • To direct all housekeeping project, programs and training where applicable
  • To act as a source of contact in departmental, interdepartmental and guest related communication
  • To constantly spot check Housekeeping Colleagues to maintain standards development
  • To evaluate Housekeeping Colleagues about their training needs and development
  • To develop Housekeeping Colleagues to attain their full potential
  • To train and develop all Housekeeping Colleagues
  • To regularly review the training results and needs with Housekeeping
Manager
  • To have executive classroom training as well as on the job training and corrective coaching
  • To ensure Housekeeping Attendants are fully trained to the standard set by the department
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Hospitality Management Diploma
  • Essential : Trainer Certificate
  • Desirable: Knowledge about Health and Safety
  • Computer literate (Excel, Powerpoint, Adaco, Opera, Marketboomer, Word, FoxPro, Adobe, Photo Editor
  • Essential: Fluent in English
  • Desirable: Multi Lingua;
  • Fundamental experience in Housekeeping in 4 or 5 star hotel
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience with Housekeeping Supervisory position
  • Having worked with a contract company as a Manager In-charge
  • Multi skilled
