We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabis airport.Job Objective:The role of the Field Support Engineer is to provide excellent assistance to subcontractors and to our customer Air Force & Air Defense through performing/overseeing engineering and technical support and training, preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections and securing a high level of performance of the radars needs and performance.The role may involve working at overseas location(s) in support of the Customer deployment team or frequently at remote client locations and may involve being exposed to inhospitable climatic conditions.Role & Responsibilities:Attend the training sessions in U.A.E for AF&AD operators and maintainers.Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.Prepare and follow up various inspections.Oversee the tasks performed by the maintenance staff.Monitor that correct services and repair procedures are implemented and advice as necessary.Utilize technical publications and embedded training to develop on-the-job-training procedures.Support the development of the operational capabilities.Provide to our customer Technical support.Provide support on site deployment/installation.Assist in the implementation of new software patches received from THALES or sub-contractor/ contractors and reviews results with superiors for necessary following up.Oversee supply chain activities to maintain KPIs within limits.Report to LMW Manager.Perform other related duties as required.This job description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive and may be reviewed in the future depending upon operational requirements and staffing levels. REQUIREMENTS: Preferred Skills and Experience:One (1) years of line maintenance experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet ExplorerAble to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and follow written procedures and instructionsBachelors Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics Experience in Radar or Radio Technology and Maintenance will be a plus.Excellent customer service skillsDemonstrated technical aptitude along with basic computer skillsIntermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.Prior experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systemsExcellent initiative, interpersonal and communication skillsAutonomy, excellent verbal and written skills in English.Ability to adapt to changing conditions and directionsAbility to summarize and effectively present information to Manager and CustomersAbility to work on complex problems scope and analyze data/situationsAbility to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stop frequently in confined spacesAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiencyWill be required to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in Electricity/ElectronicsMust speak, read and write English fluentlyRegular attendance and punctuality is requiredMust possess and maintain a valid Driver LicenseIntermediate computer skills with previous exposure to a Computerized Maintenance Management SystemWorking Conditions:Computer and other office equipmentDigital Multi-meter and mechanical toolsWork Environment:Works outside, and/or the hangar where loud noises may be experiencedWork shifts may vary - flexibility requiredIn most cases, work schedules are bid and worked by seniority, operational requirements permitting (days, swings, or midnight shift; weekends and holidays)Must be willing to travel domestically, and, if required, internationallyPhysical Effort:Moderate to strenuous physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 to 80 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
