Role PurposeThe Public Realm Senior Manager will be responsible for the design and development of the Public Realm and Landscaping for the companys Project. The project will deliver vital Public Open Spaces and associated Services on a city?wide, district and neighborhood level.The Public Realm Senior Manager is responsible for coordinating and reviewing all project strategies, project life?cycle work stage deliverables and encompassing project programs applicable to the Project Proponent. For example, but not limited to, real estate development criteria, Public Realm project feasibility and strategies. The review of design concepts and relevant technical documentation. Inclusive, and not limited to, all enabling sub?projects through close interaction and coordination with relevant counterparts such as, Urban Planning, ProjectExecution Office and industry leading Subject Matter Experts.The Public Realm Senior Manager shall report directly to the Design Coordination Director and participate as a direct interface with all company internal and external stakeholders, to confirm that relevant Public Realm and Landscape design packages will exceed the applicable International Codes and Standards. As a lead member of a strategic technical team, the Design Coordination Senior Manager shall collaborate with the Real Estate Development Department to enhance the culture of design excellence, elevate the quality of not only Public Realm design, but also from a development feasibility perspective. Thus, ensuring that each design cycle complies with the project?s financial objectives and is correctly certified before proceeding to the next design stage.The Public Realm Senior Manager shall work closely with the Urban Planning and Project Execution Office, participating in the review of Public Realm strategies and development programs for the Project Proponent and recommend approval, or re?draft to the Director. Inclusive, but not limited to all design briefs, scopes of work, to ensure that these packages and strategies are aligned with The Proponent?s objectives and comply with relevant project development criteria, prior to recommendation and approval to the Director.Key Responsibilities- Manage and review the Public Realm & Landscaping strategies and design process of all relevant projectsaffiliated with The Proponent. Inclusive of project initiation and feasibility strategies, design cycles andapplicable project programs.- Ensure that all Public Realm/Landscaping strategies and design packages for the project are comprehensivelyreviewed, with all design and constructability issues identified and resolved, through consultation withcounterparts from the Project Design and Project Execution Office.- Coordinate with counterparts in all Company Sectors and Departments to ensure that their specific review,comments and recommendations are incorporated and closed out within each Sector?s applicable businessstrategy and project design cycles. Recommending sign?off to Design Coordination Director.- Utilize in?depth knowledge and experience to liaise with industry leading Public Realm Subject Matter Expertsto endorse design submissions, ensuring that all reviews are expedited in?depth and returned to the ProjectDesign Office within optimum timeframes.- Manage and report risks to ensure strict adherence to the agreed design programs and develop a risk mitigation schedule as contingency, per project requirements.- Support Design Coordination Director and the Companys Project Design Office to develop and implement designgovernance process for all elements of the Regional Plan and provide direct feedback to the Director oneffectiveness of process and areas for improvement.- Participate in the establishment of Engineering/Architectural/Sustainability and other discipline designguidelines, standards, and codes to ensure compliance with international standards and Companys vision andtheme and communicate these guidelines to all project stakeholders.- Provide written recommendation to Director for sign?off of each stage of the Public Realm strategy and designcycles (i.e. Concept Strategy & Development Program, CMP, DMP, 30%, 60%, 90% etc.) Next cycle cannotproceed until Proponent Design Coordination Senior Manager has endorsed sign?off for the previous cycle.- Extend support, including technical guidance, planning and logistical information, to the Project Design andExecution Office for design competition bids and tenders.- Coordinate with the Urban Planning Office to develop design review KPIs and submit to Design CoordinationDirector for approval before implementation across all review activities.- Participate in the recruitment of suitable, qualified Engineers/Architects/Urban Designers to the ProponentRepresentative team, if required and support recruitment activities across the organization.Main ContactsInternal- Design Coordination Director- Proponent Executive Director- Companys Sector Management- Companys Contractors (Design & Construction)External- Industry associations and Standards bodies- External auditor authorities- Technology vendors and research institutes- Related Government agencies
