Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal. Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japans Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1.6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the regions first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium. An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Superintendent, Safety Based in Jizan and will report directly toSHE ManagerAbout the role:Accountable for: Operational leadership of an Safety team, providing plant support and assisting in delivery of continuous improvement programs to deliver a safety culture and safety and environmental performance that meets the company and local regulatory requirements. Provide support to the SHE Manager Manage actions as per the Safety Plan, Coordinate and allocate jobs to the Safety Team, Support the Departments strategic plan, taking active roles in strategies and initiatives where appropriate. You will be responsible to:

• Attend SHE Meetings as required by the SHE Manager, providing support, counsel, documentation and follow-up as needed.
• Manage task lists, allocate a balance of duties within the SHE Department appropriate to skills and resources.
• Read and review incoming documentation and process as per SHE requirements
• Perform supervision of Field Safety Supervisors in the field and support their activities.
• Be available to consult on SHE matters, escalating issues to the SHE Manager as appropriate.
• Perform specialized field audits ie PTW, Confined Spaces, LOTO, Hot Work etc.
• Participate in Paired Assessments, plant tours, inspections, etc.
• Conduct Safety Campaign presentations
• Participate & lead SHE Investigations, share learnings and assist with documentation ie. PINS, 5 Whys, etc.
• Participate in development, training and maintenance of Emergency Response functions
• Communicate with other departments, provide Toolbox Talks, Bulletins, posters, etc as needed.
• Support other SHE Functions as needed ie. PSM, Security, MOH, etc.
• Develop risk Assessments in conjunction with functional experts
• Deputise for SHE Manager during periods of absence or as requested
• Develop and deliver SHE related training packages and test for proof of competency
• Develop and review SHE related standards and procedures
• Review Operations and Maintenance instructions to ensure all relative SHE needs have been identified
• Participate in PSM related activities such as PHAs, MOCs etc. as required
• Audit completion of SHE actions on a defined basis to ensure they have been implemented correctly and sustainable.
• Responsible for completion and participation in Global SHE reporting documents and meetings.

• Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering. Alternatively, Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

• 5-7 years experienced as Safety Engineer

• Expertise Occupational safety standards / practices such OSHA, NIBOSH,etc.
• Strong leadership skills and analytical skills
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Strong knowledge of Training and Development areas.
• Knowledge of Qualitative/Quantitative Risk analysis (QRA) & Business Risk Analysis (BRA) techniques, preparation, and analysis
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian SHE legislation and associated regulations
• Familiarity with the Smelters /Furnaces sector or a related industry
• Excellent communication and project management skills
