Job Description

The opportunityProject: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure. Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project. To form a collaborative relationship with an organisation that will provide access to high quality programme and project management and controls resource support and expertise supporting the delivery of our portfolio of projects and programmes. It is expected that the partner will enhance the clients existing programme and project management capability and offer supplementary capacity by providing flexible, appropriately skilled resources as the need arises. Reports directly to the head of project controls and is responsible for the direction and coordination of all project controls activities within safety, quality, time and cost milestones for a specific area/scope of work. Supports the development of an overall integrated plan and budget for the project and to establish effective and fully transparent reporting and controls across the whole project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining schedules for sub-projects within the overall programme. This will
  • include the application of project control standards and expectations to support the timely and accurate preparation, production and maintenance of a suite of integrated and logic linked schedules covering all aspects of the programmes for the project, loading of cost and resource estimates within the schedule and production of project reports.
  • Ongoing support of development and maintenance of the IMS.
  • Producing and controlling of cost and resource loaded baseline and current schedule, utilising approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
  • Adhering to scheduling and project control standards across the project.
  • Overseeing and ensuring schedules are updated to an agreed timeframe.
  • Supporting cost control, risk and change management teams where appropriate.
  • Supporting the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
  • Producing analysis of trends, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
  • Analysing and integrating of schedules provided by contractors and suppliers.
  • Supporting the estimating process.
  • Establishing working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders pursuant to the discharging of your responsibilities or in aid of theirs. Liaising with other sections of the team and fostering and practicing client team values.
  • Supporting schedule management and reporting for the project - including cost and earned value reporting and management.
  • Providing ad hoc support to the wider project controls function to develop the capability of the team using knowledge from wider experience.
  • Adhering to the current monthly project controls cycle and processes and support with any future development.
About youYou will have exposure of working as a planning lead for a PMO/project controls business within the construction/infrastructure sector. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
