Job Description

Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal. Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japans Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1.6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the regions first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium. An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Engineer, Environmental Based in Jizan and will report directly toSHE ManagerAbout the role:Accountable for: Maintenance of environment related documentation as per defined quality standards. Conducts compliance monitoring and measurement of key HSE parameters and equipment, contributes to environment inspections and facilitates training sessions to support their respective environment teams. Ensure safe and sustainable management of the environmental responsibilities and reporting of the Jizan site. This responsibility includes monitoring and reporting on site environmental issues, and developing site based written procedures as well as providing effective training to the entire workforce. This position may have additional responsibilities in occupational safety, process safety, emergency response and leadership. You will be responsible to:

  • Identify environmental requirements of the Royal Commission which are applicable to the plant and successful implement them with limited direction of oversight.
  • Create and Implement Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001, client and legal requirement
  • Develop and maintain accurate site specific procedures which ensure environmental compliance complete with training for procedures.
  • Understand Air, Water, Waste, NORM and noise monitoring techniques and management of data
  • Effectively prioritization of activities with limited oversight.
  • Understanding field walks are required by this position which may be as much as 25% of activities
  • Collect & analysis of the environmental data and use this data to develop the environmental procedures, targets and objectives.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis to determine the cause of the issue. Once determining root cause, work with other workgroups to close action items.
  • Effective in all workgroups from floor employees to executive vice president
  • While environmental will be the main task, support safety, health, process safety and emergency response as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining all site environmental permits as well as obtaining new permits as necessary. Must develop positive relationship with Royal Commission.
  • Correct actions of others if not allowed but standard, procedure or permit. Being the subject matter expert to explain the issue and corrective action.
  • Develop the environmental training procedure and matrix to ensure the employees are competent Collect & analyses of the environmental data and use this data to develop the environmental procedures, targets and objectives.
  • Develop transportation procedures to control dust, Noise, leakage
About You:Minimum Qualification:. Bachelors Degree in Engineering (chemical, environmental , civil ) Minimum Experience:
  • +5 years environmental or safety, health and environmental experience
Required Skills:
  • Good in Communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic & English
  • Knowledge and understanding of KSA Royal Commission environmental and NCEC regulations
  • Highly computer literate and well experienced in Microsoft office
  • The person needs to have excellent analytical skills with the observation
