Atkins are looking to recruit a Document Controller to join our Information management and digital engineering team.Are you a good team worker and have experience working in Document Control across multiple projects Do you enjoy resolving emergent day to day challenges and thrive off supporting your team in delivery of varied document control projects Do you like working with both internal and external customers and embrace opportunities for improvement If YES, then we are looking for you!We can be flexible around your location - with the role potentially being based on any Atkins UK office.As part of our growing commitment to the digitization of the built environment, innovation in digital engineering and design, and the rising importance of information and data management in the construction sector we are looking to find new talent to support our growing information management and digital engineering team on some of our largest infrastructure programmes.We are looking for those who demonstrate delivery excellence, innovation, have a real interest in digital technology and collaborative behaviours to help deliver document control services across some of our most important programmes. You will champion the application and value of document control and information management across our major projects applying your knowledge of document control to target real benefits for clients and other stakeholders.Responsibilities:

  • Improvement of working processes and procedures.
  • Problem-solving & Decision-making.
  • Make decisions and recommendations within authorised limits. Exercise considerable judgment and initiative in interpreting policy in the planning and implementation of projects and/or work assignments.
  • Receiving, tracking and monitoring drawings and documentation.
  • Inputting of document information for reports and logging into database.
  • Responding to internal and external emails and documentation requests.
  • Generating and issuing monthly progress status reports for both internal and external documentation.
  • Expediting the review of internal and external documentation within project/programme functions.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of document control processes.
  • Provide support and mentor more junior staff where required.
  • Committing to working safely and also responsibly in terms of the environment and our communities by integrating into every work practice an ownership of HSE responsibility for self and work colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience in all areas of document/data management.
  • Proficient in use of electronic Document/Data Management Systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Detail oriented and skilled in setting priorities.
  • Ability to learn fast, maintain quality and efficiency, apply acquired knowledge and train others.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to help customers in a professional and concerned manner.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in seeking support where required.
