Job Description

You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.?You are an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will support software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

  • Provide thought leadership and drive architecture and the design of big data and data warehousing solutions.?
  • Clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Design the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources?
  • Document use cases, solutions and recommendations
  • Work with various stakeholders, from program and project managers to the solution and enterprise architects in the design, planning and governance of implementing data projects?
  • Design and strategy to keep data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and regions.
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Design a strategy to insure data availability, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability
  • Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the solution
  • Explore new opportunities introduced by new technologies and initiatives
  • Benchmark implemented solution against other solutions from other vendors
  • Build capabilities and guide the technical team and push them to progress in their career
