For over forty years, we have delivered high-quality aftermarket aerospace services that are affordable and customer-focused.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESPerform duties as Assistant Fire Chief of Operations at a foreign military airfield locationProvide supervision for approximately twenty (20) firefighters providing Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) at two airfields and one heliport.Support the Fire Chief in coordination and integration of all ARFF activities with a Contractor Airfield Operations team led by a Program Manager.Provide oversight for on-the-job training for host nation fire fighters working alongside the contract fire fighters.Must maintain copies of all reports and records for viewing and complying with any corrective action required.Attend Company, Base Environmental and or Saudi ARFF-related meetings/training as required.Assist the EH&S Manager in the enforcement of MNG and Company smoking policies.Responsible for the development and update of Emergency Escape Routes at the facility.Responsible for attending Zone, Fire, Safety, and Health Inspections.Required to handle hazardous materials in the performance of assigned duties.Maintain the highest ethical personal and professional standards.POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTERGraduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) and minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in working as a certified firefighter.Must have a minimum of two (2) years as a Fire Chief or Assistant Fire Chief, preferably in an airport/airfield environment.Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.Must be comfortable working with host nation military personnel.Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage.Familiarization with AR 95-20 and DCMA 8210.1c. for Airfield Operations.Must have a valid state operators license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements.Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data* Will be required to travel when deemed necessary.As a government contractor, Vertex Aerospace requires all employees to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment in accordance with Executive Order 14042. May be required to work in areas where high noise levels prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
