Under the direction of the Market Access & Strategic Government Partnerships Sr. Manager for TWAL (Turkey, West Asia, Levant) Region located in Turkey and in partnership with other Business Unit Leads, this role will focus on execution of reimbursement strategy and optimization.For this role, you will be expected to be located in Lahore, Pakistan. A Day in Life As the Strategic Government Partnerships Consultant, you will support the development and implementation of economic and reimbursement strategies for the Medtronic product portfolio in Pakistan. You will be responsible for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders in the execution of the economic and reimbursement strategies planning and implementation to gain funding and reimbursement for our life-changing therapies. You will provide critical input into developing global reimbursement strategies and planning and designing studies to ensure payer, governmental, societal and other critical partners and stakeholder requirements are met.The Strategic Government Partnerships Consultant is a highly impactful role to support the success of reimbursement and health policy strategies and execution for all businesses. You will require an exceptional ability to plan for the use of data and evidence to support value proposition development and reimbursement advocacy. You will :? Lead country strategic government partnership activities, serving as conduit to federal/provincial governments, HTA agencies, private insurances and other decision-makers.? Lead public affairs and support market access projects in terms of stakeholder mapping and management.? Mitigate policy risk by focusing on policy challenges with the biggest business impact.? Influence policy and public sector decisions to create pathways for access and growth for priority therapies and markets.? Diversify and increase revenue via strategic government partnerships and localization deals to create sustainable higher access and share (including public-private partnerships).? Identify and analyze the healthcare-related government policies and regulations, which have an impact on the Medtronic business, advising OUs on changes and potential risks.? Obtain the government?s support and approval to carry out pilot projects and work with the commercial teams to operationalize.? Engage with government officials at all appropriate levels as they take decisions and develop policies that will affect Medtronics Business.? Support the adaptation of global government affairs projects and work closely with Global Government Affairs team in this regard.? Identify funding and reimbursement challenges and opportunities in Pakistan in addition to market access hurdles and work in close collaboration with TWAL Health Economics, Policy & Reimbursement (HEPR) team to solve these hurdles.? Follow up funding applications of Medtronic and work closely with the HEPR team before and after the dossier application.Must Haves? Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, MD, Biology, Chemistry or Economics.? Min.7-8 years of experience at country and/or regional level related to market access and government/public affairs (e.g. negotiations with local health authorities, payers, hospital administrators, etc.)? In-depth understanding of payers and their value drivers in major markets as well as trends in health economics and reimbursement.? Good level of understanding in healthcare, medical devices and consumables environments.? Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders from different backgrounds.? Project management skills.? Strategic thinking and planning with winning spirit.? Excellent written and verbal business English skills? Willingness to travel up to 30-40%of the timeNice to Haves?
