Job Description
Receive the Damage/Faults details sent by˙ supervisor through SMS/Email/WhatsApp with related documents such as cable route, FAD, SLD etc.
Test the reported link either from Exch/RLU or DP/Splitter with related equipment to verify the type of faults and trace the cable route to locate the area of fault and rectify the issue in case of the fault occur in OSP side unless refer back or forward to concern team to rectify the issue.
Need to replace/repair the fiber/copper cable as instructed by˙ supervisor in case of fault/outage due to cable damaged by third party or natural disaster.
If required, visit the customer location in case of OSP part end inside customer premise such as DP, Splitter etc. to confirm the OPS side is OK. Otherwise the technician will check externally without entering in customer premises.
In case of fault found inside the joint, Open Joint box and cable joints and clear the fault.
Shall have knowledge of Fiber/Copper related equipment/tools to test and clear all types of fiber (Core & FTTx) and copper cable Damage & Faults.
