The role of this position would be to focus on AKU wide space planning projects and to support the ongoing activities. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure that all the project and activities are completed on time.Specifically, you will be responsible to;

• The position requires to work closely with the project, design, and construction teams to

implement IT infrastructure standards on all new and building renovation projects.

• Perform design review, value engineering, and construction management for all projects
• Project Execution consists of management and coordination of events leading up to

project execution.

• Responsible for planning, designing, and managing short to long-term space utilization in

support of organization?s objectives

• The individual will track all end user change requests for its timely completion, assist

supervisor in arranging high level Project planning meetings with the concerned departments.

• Accountable for performing problem identification, isolation and resolution, document

methodologies, thorough knowledge of voice/data network management, execute hardware and software installations, and performance tuning and recovery.

• The Space Planner specialist works as part of a team that leads strategic planning within

the organization. The role supports in developing concepts and detailed space plans to support the organization?s strategic space needs. He is responsible for assisting in the development of strategic accommodation solutions for the organization, identifying space issues, managing routine space planning & renovation projects and providing advice on space issues.

• Coordinate projects with various in-house groups with external contractors and vendors,

as needed

• Direct routine space planning projects and provide support to other projects as required.
• Must be capable of working at an organization with multiple levels of leadership and

competing priorities

• Responsible for projects from concept to execution including all aspects of budgeting and

control to full execution and implementation.

• Coordinate and implement best practices for all systems within the facilities oversight
• Create, maintain, and manage documentation.
• Provide interpretation of space policy and routine space planning advice to organization

stakeholders.

• Establish standard policies, prepares support documentation, and provides training to

team members. This person will respond to service request and request fulfilment on a regular basis while partaking in project activities.

• Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

• Bachelor?s in Computer Science, Electronics, Civil or any relevant Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years? experience in related field
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, must have good PowerPoint and Excel skills with understanding of infrastructure technologies.
• Knowledge in Auto CAD/designing software and able to understand and develop IT design concept through drawings will be an added advantage.
• Proficient Knowledge of networking, hardware & software
• Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite, and friendly manner, both written and verbal.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers to gain their trust and respect.
• Be a team player who can work successfully with other departments
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
