Morgan Chase.Proactive Data Management is responsible for ensuring the right reference data is maintained at all points in time using internal and external data sources by cross referencing global market data vendor?s identifiers such as Bloomberg, Bureau Van Dijk, GLEIF for data enrichment, proactive maintenance, analytics, and prospecting. In addition the team also focusses on Party Ownership Hierarchy management by proactively capturing the Immediate Parent and Ultimate Parent of a Party based on ownership structure and accounting consolidation rules, using data sourced from market vendor (Bureau Van Dijk - BVD).Responsibilities

  • To ensure that BAU is processed as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • To be proactive in identifying process and knowledge gaps, and effectively manage escalations
  • Prioritize and manage projects requests in conjunction with BAU requests
  • Conduct and record weekly team meetings and raise all best practices
  • Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies
  • Ensure that the team has effective Quality Check process in place
  • Should display an appreciation of control, quality and risk related issues. Ensure existent controls are followed by team
  • Interact and communicate with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage their expectations
  • Interact with the team on daily basis, conduct one-on-one meetings with each member
  • Should manage training needs of the team along with ensuring completion of the mandatory targets
  • Performance management, conduct appraisals, complete action plans for people development
  • Workforce management, scheduling & rostering, leave planning
  • Ensure Business Contingency Plan strategy is in place for the team
  • Provide Monthly Performance Metrics
  • Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources
  • Ensure updating of SOPs/ Issue Logs/ Exception Logs
  • Participate in special projects revolving around data clean-ups, process improvement analysis and reporting
  • Convert business problem statements into cost effective, scalable, reliable & user friendly solutions
Minimum Qualifications
  • University Graduate
  • 15+ years of experience in financial services or related industries with preferably in and Reference Data Management
  • Familiarity with Investment Banking Operations
  • Strong knowledge of reference data management
  • Effective team management skills
  • Experience with digital solutions such as Alteryx, UIPath, Tableau, Collibra
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage global partners and requestors
  • Controls and innovation mindset
  • Excellent People Skills and ability to drive energy levels within the team
  • Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Excellent Time Management Skills and highly result oriented
