Currently, we are looking for an ambitious and energeticLegal Counsel DGF Moroccoto be based in Morocco. The successful candidate is responsible for providing general legal advice to DGF Morocco. Supporting the Head of Legal DGF Africa and Middle East in respect of contract drafting and negotiation, litigation, standardization of documents, M&A and other general in-house work in and outside of Morocco. Works with supervisor to define and recommend legal strategies and objectives designed to mitigate the organizations legal exposure. Works with supervisor to implement best in class legal processes and procedures to assure business objectives are met and legal risks are identified and mitigated.If this sounds like something you would like to do, please read on.Key Responsibilities? Contract Review: Drafting and reviewing customer and supplier contracts and other legal documents, with a particular eye on the requirements, priorities and interests of the DGF business. In-house Advice: Liaising with other members of the Legal Department, providing professional advice and guidance to intra-company customers. Assisting in providing risk analysis with respect to legal and commercial matters, as well as guidance and training, in order to protect income and promote business while minimizing risk for the company. Representing the companys interest in commercial contract negotiations in line with the groups policies. Representing the company before quasi-judicial agencies and public authorities. Responsible for defending the companys legal interests in litigation and claims in Morocco.? Projects: Participating in projects and practice groups, creating and rolling out standard contracts, in order to create efficiencies, promote standardization and ensure departmental visibility across the region.? External Counsel: Liaising with external legal counsel to assist in handling legal matters covering various areas of the law, such as commercial/corporate, litigation, human resources, tax, finance and regulatory matters. This involves cooperation with other departments of the DPDHL group, hands-on management of matters, relationships and costs.? Awareness: Maintaining awareness of relevant laws and changes in the law that may have an impact on company interests, with a particular focus on the industry and jurisdiction involved.? Compliance: Being able to spot any possible compliance issues, and ensuring preventive measures are taken so as to protect the legal and commercial interests of the company.? Reporting: Producing regular and ad-hoc reports and providing other administrative assistance within the Legal Department. ? Housekeeping: Maintaining records of shareholders meetings, BoD meetings, Articles and By-laws. Ensuring compliance of corporate documents with changing legal requirements. ? Miscellaneous: Managing enquiries from international departmental functions, carrying out tasks as required in order to support the Legal department team members and business units.Required Skills? Growing understanding of DGFs business operations; goals and strategies in area of responsibility? Ability to apply legal knowledge and expertise in business environment? Developing legal analytical skillsQualifications and Experience:? University Law Degree? Fluent English? Fluent French? Fluent Arabic? 1-5 years of legal practiceWe offer:?
