Job Registered NursePrimary Location TN-Lebanon-Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH)Organization Labor and Delivery 214028Shift 7pm - 7amRegistered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Nights) Role Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reports directly to the Clinical Director of the unit. This position works in conjunction with other members of nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families. It collaborates with various members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires the ability to be self-directed and quality focused. Interpersonal communication skills are a necessary function of this position.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
  • Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patients care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
  • Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patients progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Department/Unit SummaryThe OB department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital is a 18 bed unit, which consists of 12 post-partum beds, 4 labor beds, and 2 over flow beds. BLS and Fetal Monitoring Certification Required; ACLS, PALS Preferred. One year Womens Health (Labor & Delivery or Mother/Baby) experience required. *$15k Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
  • RN Sign-On Bonus Eligibility Requirements: The sign on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past 12 months. RN Candidates must have at least one year of experience to qualify.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience)
  • 6 months experience
  • Registered Nurse Required
