Job Description

Job PurposeThe main purpose of the Unit Head, Inspection and Quality Control position is to ensure efficient and timely execution of fleet management and its adequate internal controls and quality assurance.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient fleet utilization which includes quality assurance and effective mobilization/ demobilization.
  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.
  • Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of fleet management.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment are maintained, safe, in good working condition and in line with the company?s quality standard.
  • In a timely manner, manage and maintain equipment and auxiliary equipment inspection schedules, including third party inspections.
  • Manage and maintain all equipment records and database of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of fleet management.
  • Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with local authorities and its regulations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department, and ensure all maintenance services comply with OEM and company standards, as follows:
-PMS-Breakdown and repairs-Field service maintenance and PMS
  • Ensure PDI( Pre-Delivery Inspection) is carried out prior to mobilizations, in collaboration with the crane operator and equipment/ Transport coordinator.
  • Manage and maintain insurance portfolio for all operational equipment and assets.
  • Collaborate with asset management for renewals of Istamara and Number plates.
  • Manage the administration of the company equipment and vehicles and ensure compliance of the policies.
  • Maintain knowledge and utilize all fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements.
  • Adhere to all employee and process level policies and procedures as other the approved code of ethics and business conduct and operational manual.
  • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement.
  • Address issues of misconduct and poor performance.
  • Manage and maintain reports relating to fleet utilization, maintenance and tracking.
  • Leads, directs, evaluates and develops the inspection and quality control team to ensure that the objectives are reached.
  • Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal and succession planning of all direct and indirect reports.
  • Promotes a highly effective management and leadership style in line with the AMHEC?s values and that supports the achievement of its strategy and objectives.
  • Identifies potential successor for his/her position; oversees and implements developmental plans for identified successors.
  • Identifies and monitors key inspection and quality control functional KPI?s, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

  • Promotes and disseminates a positive health and safety culture and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
  • Ensures employee health and safety programs and guidelines are developed, regularly maintained, implemented, reviewed and compiled with.
  • Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 Years of working experience in industry, contracting, heavy equipment rental and oil and gas contracting sector.
  • Bachelors degree in any discipline with basic technical (Electrical and mechanical) knowledge information of preventive maintenance etc.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite.
  • Previous experience in the GCC is a plus, especially if the experience was in Saudi Arabia.
  • English language is a must, Arabic language is a plus.
Working ConditionsNature of work may require working beyond standard working hours.Physical / Travel RequirementsTravel ( Up to 5%)within the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to AMHEC?s sites, yards and branches.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Direct Reports
