Develop, qualify, and provide technical expertise with procedures and welding techniques to support the fabrication of Air-cooled Heat Exchangers.
Analyze Engineering designs for welding requirements.
Duties and responsibilities:
Oversee welding procedure qualification and generate welding procedures to assist manufacturing and welding personnel.?
Provide welding engineering support to Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to fabricate equipment in accordance with all applicable code and customer requirements.?
Knowledge and practical experience of common welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW and SAW.
Experience in welding carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steels and nickel based alloys.
Arranging and conducting PQR and WQT
Ensure that all Welding, Heat Treatment, any hardness testing, Inspection and Non-destructive testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications.
Thorough Knowledge on Requirements of ASME Sec. IX
Monitoring the welding activities, to identify any eventual problem related to welding & NDT
Knowledge in ASME Sec II, Sec V, Sec VIII, Sec IX, SAUDI ARAMCO standards and shall be familiar with CS, SS, Inconel and Alloy steel fabrication and inspection.
Knowledge on welding Metallurgy of Steel and Non-Ferrous alloys.?
Prepare Purchase requisition and Technical Specification for the Welding materials.?
Conduct failure analysis and cause analysis on welding issues.
Knowledge on selection of Appropriate NDE Methods.
ability to categorize & quantify weld defects
Knowledge of Fabrication of Pressure vessel/Heat Exchangers.?
