Job Description

Job Purpose Supervise, organizes and stores all inventory of raw materials, spare parts for issuance to all stores. Maintains & controls the stock of SCC materials. Supervises and controls the receipt of all incoming material to SCC. Inspects the condition of the material and reports any damage or discrepancies to management.Responsibilities

1. Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in warehouse. Performs supervisory functions and exercise financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
2. Supervises the review of all material issue slip from end user. Includes checking for item description, technical specifications information, cost center and authorization by authorized person as required. If incomplete, then requisition is returned to end-user.
3. Ensure timely input of all issuing documents to avoid time gaps in provision of supplies. Establishes follow up system of items not received in due time. Monitor reports from computer and contact procurement to provide status of items through buyers and suppliers and manufacturers.
4. Reports any damages of material handled by forklift drivers and take the required action.
5. Supervises the unloading of all material, check documents against purchase to ensure shipment confirms to terms and conditions of purchase order. Identifies any discrepancies and informs purchasing manager.
6. Check the condition of the materials and the containers for any damages, leakage or bags broken, then photographs are taken by Q.C inspector for analysis and evaluation for insurance or supplier claims, informs procurement manager in event of severe damage, before unloading to contact suppliers to react accordingly.
7. Supervises, develops and updates the computerized SAP-MM related master file.
8. Supervise the assignment of group and class for new item codes. Identifies item, proper description and key name. Directs data processor in the classification of new item code and ensures input into system. Maintains and update system with changed item descriptions, part numbers and unit of supply.
10. Establishes level of each stock item by using MRP facilities of SAP. Reviews list of consumable items to finalize the level for re-order.
11. Supervises the periodic and annual physical inventory of raw materials and spare parts.
12. Supervises and controls the allocation of received items to SCC stores and location in PSF or COC warehouses. Determines the space available in PSF location ensures adequate quantity is available and allocates remaining quantity to COC. Evaluate the storage, protection required by item. Determine storage inside or outside the warehouse & informs foremen of storage needs.
13. Establishes direct contact with information system for computer problems ( hardware and software ) related to materials Dept. in the fields of stock control, receiving and issuing units and ensures the problems are rectified.
14. Supervises and reviews all computer programs and technical reports related to material Dept. and recommends necessary changes, improvements and correction to the existing computer programs.
15. Perform similar or other related duties such as contacting accounts insurance section to inform? ? ? the inspector to make evaluation, and informing procurement, planning or end users of arrival of priority items when instructed to expedite immediate distribution.
