Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Review material requisition from sites. Check quantities and specifications etc. and assign them to purchases to start the action.
  • Identify and select vendors that provide competitive prices, reliable service, and best terms.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
  • Ensure that requested material is purchased and delivered in accordance with the requirements of requesters and at the most economically favorable terms.
  • Review and approve all invoices and bordereaux.
  • Maintain procurement records ? SRF?s, purchase orders/ Agreement, Invoices, Receipts etc., and ensure that such records are entered in Oracle System.
  • Monitor the impress fund of the purchasing officer as well as the individual impress purchasers. Coordinate with Finance Department for money transfers and reimbursement of bordereaux to secure cash in hand.
  • Control the performances and efficiency of purchasers and make sure they devote their efforts to purchase the right material in the right time and for the right price.
  • Create and implement best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance
  • Maintain a high level of coordination and cooperation with site/ project managers to ensure highest degree of effectiveness in purchasing activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports/ statements as requested by Purchasing Department Manager.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the department manager.
