Title: Obstetrician/ Gynecologist (SRF #382)This position is under consultancy agreementLocation: IrbidImplement gynecological and obstetrician procedures, performing any other prior treatment required, during or immediately after a woman has given birth in order to improve womens reproductive health and to reduce pregnancy, delivery and neonatology risks. This will be done in accordance with IMCs policies, protocols and universal hygiene standards and in multidisciplinary collaboration with other medical doctors and midwife services.1. Overseeing antenatal care, gynecologic care and obstetrics care in Irbid Maternity hospital2. Provide health care related to gynecology and obstetrics to patients, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment.3. Ensure the implementation of IMCs clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related to gynecology and obstetrics in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best reproductive practices.4. In collaboration with the Hospital manager, ensure that the gynecological equipment is available to perform safe deliveries and assist the hospital manager to raise a request for any item that may be necessary for safe provision of services.5. Provide technical supervision of maternity staff, including midwifes and nurses, in providing quality healthcare services. Organize training sessions as requested by the hospital manager to improve the knowledge and skills of the staff.6. Ensure evidence based management of all cases admitted in the maternity ward by organizing regular rounds and updating patient information in the file.7. Provision of clinical management of rap willingness to learn and follow associated protocols8. Provide surgical management of the patients as per guidelines and ensure that the operation theatre has all necessary equipment and medication for safe surgical interventions.9. Ensure that patients requiring transfer to external facilities have been stabilized beforehand and has been instructed to warrant safety of the patient.10. Providing clinic related procedures (ultrasound, intrauterine device insertion) with a demonstrated competency11. Administering appropriate treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted infections12. Provide technical guidance to the staff in developing health education messages. Support the staff in developing necessary and contextually relevant material for health education and counselling.13. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.14. Participate in team and staff meetings and other meetings to support both service delivery and organizational goals
