Job Description

J.P. Morgan is a Top 2 Global Custodian, with +$28 trillion of Assets under Custody providing safekeeping, asset servicing solutions and related services such as Cash, Liquidity and Trading Services to Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Banks and Alternative Funds in +100 markets.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Developer with outstanding ETL and Database knowledge to help support the Securities Services Data Solutions team and build technology solutions to support the data and analytics needs of the business. This is a hands-on software engineering role. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Development, Operations, and Product Business users to improve and modernize the existing ETL and Database platform as well as onboard new data sets as per business needs. This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Experience in ETL Architecture, Design, and Development of data workflows using Alteryx or similar tools.
  • Enterprise relational database knowledge with proficiency in PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning, and ETL.
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and implementation, software delivery lifecycle, agile environment.
  • Knowledge of SDLC CI/CD Execution (GitHub, Jenkins, AIM etc.)
  • Knowledge of one or more modern programming languages (Java, Python)
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to converse directly with business stakeholders
  • An ability to be self-sufficient and proactive whilst working in a broader team
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Preferred Skills (Would be a plus for this position)
  • Experience in migrating data workflows on-premises to public cloud
  • Working AWS knowledge/certification (huge plus)
