Job Description

J.P. Morgan is a Top 2 Global Custodian, with +$28 trillion of Assets under Custody providing safekeeping, asset servicing solutions and related services such as Cash, Liquidity and Trading Services to Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Banks and Alternative Funds in +100 markets.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Analytics Developer with outstanding AWS knowledge and proficiency in one or more programming languages to help support the Securities Services Data Solutions team and build technology solutions to support the data and analytics needs of the business. This is a hands-on software engineering role. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Development, Operations, and Product Business users to improve and modernize the analytics platform as well as onboard new data sets as per business needs. This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Strong experience in Core Java and J2EE development
  • Experience with Python and Spark is preferable
  • Working knowledge of AWS Data Analytics platform and related services - S3, AWS Glue, RedShift, Athena, Terraform Modules, etc.
  • Good understanding of relational databases and Object-Oriented databases
  • Knowledge and experience with testing, releasing, and CI/CD pipeline deployments into AWS
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to converse directly with business stakeholders
  • An ability to be self-sufficient and proactive whilst working in a broader team
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Preferred Skills (Would be a plus for this position)
  • Hands on experience in ETL Architecture, Design, and Development
  • AWS certification
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and core libraries/frameworks such as React.js
