VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company.VAM Systems is currently looking for Telecom Data Architect for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:Technical skills?Data Architecture - Data Warehouse, Data Mart, ODS, ETL, reporting, analytics, master data management?Data Modelling - 3NF, Dimensional, Star Schema?Understanding of Telco BSS and OSS architectures and applications?Good experience of multiple RDBMS at least including Teradata and Oracle?Previous exposure to database scripting and programming languages at least including BTEQ, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL?Experience with Informatica ETL?Experience with Business Intelligence suites at least including Business Objects and MicroStrategy?Understanding of data management applications such as Master Data Management?Data pipeline integration: supporting millions/billions of daily transactions. Experience in stream event message technologies with exposure to messaging frameworks like Kafka or RabbitMQ?Experience in Big Data, Data Analytics. Experience with Hadoop MapReduce, Spark, Pig, Hive, realtime data streaming and event monitoring, Data ingestion (sqoop, flume, streamsets&kafka), RT-analytic engine,?Hadoop cloudera solution, spark streaming, spring cloud data flow, python coding for big data, Apache Ceode, Solr Elastic, store (HDFS, Kudu, No SQL Hbase)?Knowledge of vendor products such as HPE Vertica, SAP Hana, ATOS CODEX?Understand common integration services: REST API exposureQualifications ? Required education, minimum work years? experience?Bachelor?s degree in a technical field (i.e. Computing) ?Technical certifications especially in vendor products is highly advantageous (Strong integration, networking and security fundamentals)?10 to 15 years? total work experience, with knowledge and experience in ICT, Telecom, and/or Tech. professional services - B2B sector(s) preferred?Must have several years of data architect experience and have worked on large scale data migration programsResponsibilities?Drives and manages the creation of a company data and insight strategy?Work with business, IT and network stakeholders to ensure the data architectures address business and IT objectives1: Data Modelling & Data Migration support:?Defines the data models for the product, customer and service feature structures on the target architecture in collaboration with the Product and BI teams?Understands the legacy data models [for customer services and commercial products] and how they must be mapped and where necessary migrated to new target data models and integrated to target BI analytics platform?Works with the business, BI, IT teams to support the definition of the co-existence and data migration strategy?Drives data cleansing program and helps ensure certain target KPIs for data accuracy and consistency are reached?Performs data analysis activities including data profiling, creation of data dictionaries, data transformation rules and integration requirements?Creates the data archiving approach?Ensures data consistency across master-slave applications?Develops, documents and maintains logical and physical data models for all applications2: Data Platform Architecture?Designs a high performance data analytics and insights architecture, linking together the program between IT, OSS /networks and BI teams?Brings together Big data, MPP DWH, BI, Analytics, AI&ML, Data streaming, batch/real- time data processing into a coherent strategy and defines associated implementation tracks?Designs and creates a real-time data platform that will be used to provide the necessary real-time customer insights data to target applications such as CVM [for real-time campaigns], channels for customer profile and contextual based advertising of offers. The use of a variety of data sources such as network information, IT customer information and geo-location is expected?Responsible for designing the target architecture in close alignment with and in consideration of the big data platform and DWH strategy under OSS and BI teams in order to support use cases such as: revenue protection (fraud & churn), customer experience (QoS, QoE), CVM (NBA), revenue generation (mobile ad, credit card), and data monetization (B2B services etc.)?Produces Technical Impact Analysis, estimates of effort for project delivery and Technical Options to help make key decisions?Produces application designs for Data Management systems (Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Stores and ETL, amongst others) that include data models, data flows and cover all required data scenarios?Drives data integration solutions and is responsible for the design and architecture to integrate necessary data components with various target systems?Signs off on the SoW, integration specifications and works with the vendor(s) on the detailed design alignment and sign-off?Accountable and responsible for the successful scoping of the go-live solution and ensures all target design timelines are strictly adhered to?Defines all phases and tracks what needs to be implemented; scopes the tracks and hands over to implementation teams to deliver?Contributes to the Greenfield RFP vendor selection and definition of target application, information, integration, data architecture and transition phases of the roadmap with the other domain architects?Supports parallel business transformation tracks such as financial business case, customer experience and product portfolio / rationalization?Authors the contractual technical scope of work with selected vendor(s) an is expected to contribute to the definition of the non-technical scope?Member of Design authority and formalizes the approval process for high level designs and deliverables?Ensures delivery teams adhere to designs and architecture captured in the Enterprise Architecture (EA) repositoryKey deliverablesD1 - Customer and Product data analysisD2 - Detailing data migration solution and approachD3 - Setting data cleanse and accuracy target KPIs and driving cross-functional teams to achieve targetsD4 - Define target data models and associated solutionD5 - Define data flows and integration points [with API architect]D6 - Define conceptual target e2e data platform architecture [holistically covering TDWH, Big data, Analytics, event streaming, etc.]D7 - Define data ETL solution from new BSS stack into the target BI platformD8 - Define all phases & track what needs to be designed and implemented for supporting capabilities aligned with business launch phasesD9 - Scope the tracks and hand-over to implementation teams to deliverD10 - Legacy and new stack co-existenceD11 - High level design artefacts and approvalsD12 - With vendors and delivery teams: LLD artefact generation and approvalsD13 - Define and design according to integration KPIsJoining time frame: (15 - 30 days) Terms and conditionsThe selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in UAE.Should you be interested in this opportunity, please send your latest resume in MS Word format at the earliest
