Sr. Back-End Developer

Job Description

Employment: Full Time One of our well established clients is looking for an analytical, results-driven back-end developer who will work with the team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Development of all server-side logic and definitionMaintenance of the central databaseEnsuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-endBuild with PHP, Laravel and Node.jsBuild and ship reliable software leveraging automated testing and continuous delivery REQUIREMENTS: Having a solid PHP background, you will have a good grasp of the Laravel framework (or another MVC) with an understanding of front-end technology. A breakdown of the skills, education and experience requirements are as follows:PHP / Laravel / Node.js / PythonMySQL / RedisKubernetes / Docker/ AWSAutomated testing with PHPUnitGithub, Slack, ZoomIn-depth knowledge of object-oriented principles and design patternsExperience with web services (REST, GraphQL, WebSocket) and APIsAbility to write and optimize complex SQL queries in RDBsExperience working with the LNMP stackExperience with Docker containers and KubernetesKnowledge and experience implementing data storage solutionsBachelors/masters degree in computer science/software engineering6-8 years of experience developing in modern programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, JavaScriptAbility to multitask and smoothly transition between tasks across multiple projectsFluent in English and a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to other cross functional teams is no problem for youProficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage
