The events provide a platform for key stakeholders of the ICT industry to come together to discuss latest technology trends and their impact.ResponsibilitiesThe IT Services Program develops and delivers market analysis, advisory and consulting to multi-national IT services companies, local / regional system integrators, and telecommunication providers covering technology areas such cloud, managed services, datacenter services, security services, outsourcing, system integration services, application and infrastructure modernization, business process outsourcing (BPO), and business consulting services, to name a few.The Program comprises a team of market analysts who write thought leadership content and deliver advisory on market opportunity, market entry, portfolio strategy, competitive strategy and other such areas.IDC is looking for a Senior Research Analyst for its IT Services Program, to be based out of the Dubai office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to spearhead IDCs market analysis and advisory services that are delivered to IT services providers in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region.Responsibilities of this Position:

• Analyze market trends in the IT services industry in areas such as cloud services, security services, applications transformation, infrastructure modernization, 5G & IoT services, managed services, project-based services, business consulting, etc.
• Conduct interviews and secondary research on the topics, consolidate the findings and develop insights.
• Develop market data models based on the research to quantitively track market size and shares of the players within and generate forecasts.
• Develop thought leadership on emerging technologies such as cloud services, security services, automation, AI services, to name a few.
• Author reports on the latest IT trends and contribute to custom research projects on an ad-hoc basis.
• Speak / present at client workshops on key technology market trends and developments.

• 6-8 years of experience in the ICT sector, ideally with consulting firms or services providers, with experience in strategy/planning or product/service management, consulting, or market intelligence roles.
• Good understanding of the IT services industry in the Middle East region.

• A passion for technology and a natural inclination to follow, analyze and comment on latest trends and developments

• Strong research and analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Strong data modelling and analysis skills.
• Ability to work in a very agile and highly collaborative environment.

• A Master?s degree from a reputed university with strong academic record at all levels

• High-value personal qualities - resourceful, responsible, tenacious, independent, self-confident, high energy, etc.

• Excellent English communication skills ? oral, written and presentation skills.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word

• Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
