Western Medical is looking to hire DHA eligible nurses to join us immediately

• Perform his / her duties as per Western guiding principles and model of care, DHA regulation and other regulatory authorities, accreditation body.
• Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the adult or elderly patient?s and family?s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
• Provide culturally appropriate patient-focused nursing care.
• Applies the international patient safety goals throughout the patient journey and care process.
• Respects patient and applies patient family rights throughout the patient care, with empathy, emotional stability.
• Educates and informs patient on the care process and other relevant information within her scope of practice.
• Assessment, implementation and coordination of complex care and interventions.
• Supporting a compassionate and therapeutic environment for critically ill patients
• Providing comfort and preventing suffering.
• Collaborating with patients, their families, their healthcare providers, and healthcare professionals.
• Acting as patient advocates.
• Arranging and overseeing continuous monitoring and nursing vigilance.
• Interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Consults and coordinates with health care team members develops plan of care that is individualized for the adult and elderly patients reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates skills to triage the patients as per their condition and provides timely care in response to the needs of the patients.
• Carry out nursing assessment, state nursing diagnosis, provide critical nursing care.
• Demonstrate competency in providing emergency nursing care and procedures for patients of all ages in clinical emergency situations.
• Sets up equipment for assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitors continuously vital signs and other parameters of the patient who are under observation.
• Performs a wide range of nursing procedures with keen attention on patient safety and comfort, including those requiring strict aseptic technique.
• Administers intravenous fluids, medications including high alert medications and narcotic drugs accurately and safely as prescribed.
• Ensure correct and precise nursing documentation with regard to patient care.
• Demonstrate efficiency in cardio pulmonary resuscitation and participates as a member of Code Blue team in the hospital.
• Demonstrates skills in care of patient with seizure, Myocardial Infarction, poly trauma.
• Assist the Doctors for ICD, air way management, defibrillator, cardioversion, thrombolization and other procedure as per the hospital policies.
• Prepare the patient for emergency surgery.
• Demonstrates competence in providing care utilizing biomedical equipments such as cardiac monitors and ventilators.
• Execute basic bedside nursing care and maintain hygienic protocols of the unit.
• Provides education and support to patient families.
• Assists with transfer of patients within the health care facility and to other health facility outside.
• Maintain medical records as per hospital policy and procedures
• Facilitate information exchange of patient related conditions and treatments at the end of shifts.
• Escorts patients in ambulance when required along with team.
• Demonstrates critical care, monitors/ assesses/ provides therapeutic intervention as required during transportation. ?
• Collection and dispatch of specimens when ordered.
• Ensure the highest achievable level of care is delivered through identifying, advocating, and caring for all impacted population in all phases of various disaster events.
• Carry out routine check of working of equipment?s in each shift. ? Participates in maintaining the inventory of the unit.
• Participates in scheduled continuing nursing education and staff development programs such as Quality improvement projects and Key Performance Indicators ? Maintains confidentiality of patient?s medical information.
• Demonstrates adherence to infection control policies. ? Maintains and adheres to hospital policies and JCI accreditation protocol.
• Demonstrate awareness of fire/equipment hazards and the necessary precautions to be activated as per hospital policy.
