The role requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to provide high quality service to stakeholders, including all supported professionals and external parties.Responsibilities: Prepare periodic and ad-hoc fund-related reports to investors for providing updates on the fund?s performance Assist with issuing financial statements and notices to investors, such as capital calls and distribution notices Analyse financial data and prepare internal management reports to assist in evaluating Shorooq Partners performance against pre-set financial objectives and targets Assist with the process of regulatory reporting and financial statements development including monthly / quarterly / end-of-year closing accounts for reporting purposes Apply basic accounting principles and daily bookkeeping using the relevant software including tracking bank deposits and disbursement as required Assist in posting and processing of payments in an accurate and timely manner according to pre-defined service level agreements (SLAs) File and archive all finance-related documents and records for future use, if required Coordinate closely with the firm?s external service providers and partners such as fund administrator and auditors Keep abreast the latest changes in financial and regulatory laws, decrees, regulations and instructions which have an impact on the fund?s financial activities Support the Finance team in implementing day-to-day activities within the Finance function, as required Perform other duties to support various functions within Shorooq Partners to enable maintaining and enhancing Shorooq?s Partners? position as a leading investment firmRequirementsQualifications:At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a finance analyst or associate in Big 4, Tech, Professional Services, or similar firmB.A or B.S degree from a recognized educational institution with excellent academic credentialsStrong oral and written communication skills - fluency in EnglishAttention to details, team player, ambitious, self-driven, results-oriented, and sharp time management skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and with a large number of stakeholdersStrong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data* Strong experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Google SuiteBenefitsCompensation and benefits are competitive, commensurate with experience.
