Job Description

Reporting To: Managing DirectorLiaises With: All other HODs Key Performance Indicators 1. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the catering & events department and designated services to the client in accordance to the agreed contracts and company vision. Includes: Guest satisfaction, strong client relationships, market research, and excellent professionalism. 2. To lead and inspire the team and deliver the highest possible standard of food and service with resources available and within budget. 3. Implement and standardize the infrastructure of operations. a. SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) up to date and current for all company procedures for effective operations. b. Analytics support and implementation/follow up of BOM/SAP software. c. Company vision contract structure, oversee the KPIs for employees, and organize efficiency of office coverage and stores d. Ensure training schedules are up to date. 4. Responsible for the profit and loss of the overall department. Excellent level of budgeting and ability to establish ongoing financial targets and forecasts required to assure a successful profit margin.5. Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to. & Duties ? Manage a fluid and dynamic operational environment with widely varying circumstances with focus on client service, new business opportunities, and strong business plans to ensure essential success. ? Effective management of the catering team (sales & administration office, logistics, stores, banquet staff, kitchen team) to ensure quality and significant results. Motivational leader who ensures development and growth of team. ? Manage the senior members of each catering department with the available resources and budget to achieve sales and overall gross profit targets. Create a team that initiates a plan with cost savings techniques as well as how to increase sales. ? Actively seek and identify opportunities and innovations for business growth and development with focus on the latest catering trends and best practices. Work closely with Business Development Manager on potential business opportunities and display good business judgement. ? Ability to understand and support clear and concise contract details that follow company policies and expectation of profit. Handover to sales team so that they can follow through with guidelines. ? Technical and logistical planning for all Events or exhibitions, which may include any of the following: budget analysis and preparation, procurement, scheduling, health and safety, office administration to meet operating and financial goals, logistics, negotiation and re-negotiation of contracts which fairly represent the client and the company profit margin. ? To manage and control the effective operation of catering contracts. Update and handle contracts with consideration of budget and gross profit. ? Catering Logistics handling ? overall responsibility for the effective Standard Operational Procedures for catering logistics including clear dispatch and receiving, correct delivery timeline, scheduling and client delivery commitments are achieved. ? Catering Equipment Inventory ? overall responsibility for the effective Standard Operational Procedures for cost effective and clear equipment handling procedures. Fail proof stock and inventory systems set up and followed accordingly. Breakage and wastage records, records kept, proper documentation to know where all equipment is at all times.
