Job Description

Job Title: Catering & Events Sales Manager Reporting To: Head of Catering & Events Liaises With: All other HODs Key Performance Indicators 1. Actively forecasts, processes and achieves revenue goals with a priority on Catering & Events, by strong continuous selling and upselling strategies to increase business opportunities. Must understand the market economic trends and relevant competitors to successfully stay on target with achieving and surpassing budget goals.2. Drive customer loyalty by delivering excellent service for each and every experience with To lead and inspire the team to follow suit and deliver the highest possible standards of food and service, with best resources available and within budget. 3. Implement and standardize the infrastructure of sales operations ? SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) up to date and current for all effective procedures for sales and event management, analytics support and implementation/follow up of BOM/SAP software, company vision contract structure, oversee the efficiency of sales. 4. Responsible for the profit and loss of the overall operation. Excellent level of budgeting and ability to establish ongoing financial targets and forecasts required to assure a successful profit margin. 5. Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within catering & events. & Duties. ? Book group events within group booking guidelines, ensuring sales progress seamlessly and accurately by following established SOPs. ? Upsell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the Doha Catering & Events market opportunities ? Gather and efficiently document a strong client/customer data base in order to effectively plan present and future events. ? Close sales by accurately collecting clients? deposits and signed contracts. Confirm final billing accuracy prior to final bill. ? Effective management of the Catering & Events Sales Team (Sales Executives, Administration Assistant) to ensure quality, sales targets and significant results that follow accurate standards. Motivational leader who ensures development and growth of team. Works closely with the Head of Catering & Events, Operations Manager and Head Chef. ? Handle event planning aspects of an advanced booking of all large or important events ? Strategize events and catering opportunities, and have a clear understanding of the current marketing trends and competition (strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply & demand) in order to capitalize on all business opportunities. ? Actively seek and identify opportunities and innovations for business growth and development with focus on the latest catering trends and best practices. Work closely with Head of Catering & Events on potential business opportunities and display good business judgement. ? Ability to understand and support clear and concise contract details that follow company policies and expectation of profit. Handover to sales team so that they can follow through with guidelines. ? Identify challenges associated with the team, and problem solve solutions to ensure effective results. ? Represent the sales team at all meetings and report to Head of Catering & Events on sales activity. ? Support Operations Manager on technical and logistical planning for all Events or exhibitions, which may include any of the following: budget analysis and preparation, procurement, scheduling, health and safety, office administration to meet operating and financial goals, logistics, negotiation and re-negotiation of contracts which fairly represent the client and the company profit margin.? To manage and control the effective formation of catering contracts. Update and handle contracts with consideration of budget and gross profit. ? Effective delegation to members of the catering department, to ensure relevant teams have effective communication and work closely with each other. Ability to communicate with team effectively both orally and written. ? Monitor and control spending levels and be cost conscious when making decisions on behalf of the company. Guide sales team to encourage sales calls, client relationships, site visits and regular meetings. ? Support members of the Sales Team, stepping in to assist whenever possible. Attend staff meetings and daily reports as required, perform other duties and responsibilities as need to accomplish sales target. ? Weekly follow up on pending and/or overdue customer payments and invoices. Should be cleared at the end of each contract date of payment due date, with all supporting documents attached. ? Strong organizational skills, time management (effective use of time during working hours). ? Ensure effective sales duty rosters and sales team job descriptions are follow through. ?
