Job Description

Project EngineerBasic FunctionAn Project Engineer provides technical specifications for the projects through illustrations and application of essential engineering skills. He is a professional who utilizes his knowledge by promoting real life applications through reviews and monitoring the project progress in a way to meet quality assurance standards. ScopeThe work is in Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, Facility Support Services Department, in Dhahran and in Districts (Al Hasa, Udhadiliyah, Ras Tanura, and Abqaiq). The selected candidate will work as Associate Project Engineer for Project Management Team. Principal ContactsWorks with a team of professional engineers, service providers and contractor in addition to Unit/Department level leaders. Principal Duties

  1. Apply technical specification knowledge to coordinate the activities through deep study of the project.
  2. Prepare sketches and illustrations to build a project through utilization of engineered and technical equipment.
  3. Require to support the engineer to develop and promote ideas in a view to provide optimized technical projects.
  4. Require to attend meetings and discussions to decide over the cost analysis, budget for robust development of projects by considering the feasibility factor.
  5. Assist the engineer to gather technical specifications for the user requirements and supervise over the development process through proper monitoring to promote quality assurance with a zeal to work with the team.
  6. Utilize the assets of the organization in a view to promote value added designing and lean designing concepts in a way to promote the projects drive for excellence.
  7. Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with management.
  8. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements assigning personnel to phases and elements reviewing bids from contractors.
  9. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards completing technical studies preparing cost estimates.
  10. Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  11. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications calculating time requirements sequencing project elements.
  12. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress coordinating activities resolving problems.
  13. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes recommending actions.
  14. Controls project costs by approving expenditures administering contractor contracts.
  15. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends recommending actions.
EducationBachelor Degree in Project Management ExperienceMinimum5 years experience in project management Certifications/Other requirements as applicable
  • Must have excellent understanding of international codes and standards applied like AIA, NFPA,UBC, ASHE, JCIA
  • Must have working knowledge of CADD software such as Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD
  • Ability to speak and write reports in English is required
