Job Description

DescriptionKoch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive construction business growth for the Middle East region for our Combustion business by developing Construction / Site Services / and Equipment Rental opportunities for our regional clients. We specialize in providing innovative technical and service solutions that can be applied in industrial value chains. Our Equipment businesses provide uniquely engineered solutions in mass and heat transfer, combustion and emission controls, filtration, separation, materials application, automation, and actuation.Our One-Source Solution approach to design/fabricate/insta ll projects offers multiple benefits - from optimized equipment design through final professional installation. KES Middle East creates unique value in the installation of equipment from John Zink Hamworthy, Koch-Glitsch, and Koch Heat Transfer with our specialized expertise with their products and our One-Team approach with the OEM project teams. The construction market served by the growing Specialty Plant Services business is aligned with the Koch Engineering Solutions family of mass transfer, process and emissions control products installed, upgraded, and maintained in refinery, petrochemical and heavy industrial facilities in the region. The role will be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and reporting into EMEA Construction Business Leader. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Through routine practice and ownership, apply the Koch Principle Based Management Values as the basis and foundation of all activities
  • Collaborate with KES Commercial groups and Customers to identify opportunities to install equipment and other auxiliary equipment and services.
  • Visit Customer sites to evaluate installation/construction opportunities, understand ISBL/OSBL and EHS constraints, and develop operational strategy for executing those opportunities for our Combustion Business Lines - primarily, Process Flares, Thermal Oxidizers, Process Burners, Boiler Burners, and Vapor Recovery Units.
  • Coordinate with customers to develop construction / installation scope of work and preliminary schedule and work with internal sales and estimating capabilities to determine strategy and cost estimates.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for installation activities of our Combustion Equipment and work within the organization to develop capabilities to address the same.
  • Identify investment opportunities for expansion of our regional Service capabilities.
  • Be a customer advocate and internal resource as the projects are being executed
  • Develop a culture of trust with customers and internal departments by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely responses
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
  • Demonstrated work experience in construction and/or engineering related to the refining/petrochemical industry.
  • Commercial and Practical experience with plant/site shutdowns and turn-around projects.
  • Strong leadership and inter-personal skills focused on a site-based workforce.
  • Familiarity and experience with site lifting activities, equipment refurbishment, piping interfaces, and other installation related activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with across a wide range of internal and external Customers - Commercial, Engineering, and Project and Site Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Background in Management or Engineering will be preferred
