For example, chip multithreading and the Java programming language grew out of work done in Oracle Labs.ResponsibilitiesTogether with an international and global team of highly qualified professionals, you will work on interesting and challenging tasks, allowing you to make an impact across Oracle Labs and Oracle.

  • Scoping, leading and delivering programs and projects within Oracle Labs
  • Owning the planning, design and execution of processes within Oracle Labs
  • Gathering business requirements from various stakeholders within and outside of the company
  • Defining milestones and timelinesand working to meet them
  • Tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and programs
  • Documenting clear and detailed functional and/or design specifications
  • Communicating with engineers and business leaders to identify scalable solutions
Skills and QualificationsThe person stepping into this role is expected to have a wide and diverse set of skills.
  • Experience working as program manager, project manager, community manager, or in a related role
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently while dealing with ambiguous situations, with a strong positive attitude
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to manage tasks, teams, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to successfully work on multiple projects at once
Technical requirements:
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence (or similar task and documentation management tools) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of softwaredevelopment processes and software source control systems,ideally with software development experience
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Education in technical area preferred or equivalent work experience

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.As part of Oracles employment process candidates will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment screening process.
