Job Description

Purpose:? Achieving functional excellence through managing the ?customer? dimension of the business, for the Operations and Maintenance function.? Provide functional and strategic leadership of the IHS Egypt Operations and Maintenance Function.? Ensure Network uptime and initiate strategies that will improve availability, reduce penalty exposure, and address the key issues affecting sustainable uptime at any point in time.? Own quality improvement of the Network by systematically reducing repetitive and trending network outage root causes.? Collaborate with Regional O&M Managers to successfully maintain Network uptime. ? Management of O&M resources? Governance.? Manage Regulatory Concerns? Budgeting and planning? O&M roadmap.? Cost efficient innovationsKey Roles &Responsibilities:1. Maintain network uptime to agreed Customer requirements2. Drive Site Profitability through asset management and sustain all growth CAPEX deployed by the organization3. Develop and maintain relationships with Customers at the head office level to accurately express customer requirements from the function.4. Partners with Executive, Functional and Regional Management to ensure organization wide results through joint development and implementation of building blocks that will drive the organization strategic objective.5. Collaborate, support in projects, activities of other departments to achieve overall functional and regional objectives.6. Ensure sites have the correct amount of diesel supply to avoid site downtime and communicates diesel needs with Supply Chain.7. Reconcile and report Diesel Quantities at the end of each month.8. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure that Grid Bills are paid on time. 9. Prepare and Negotiate RFP with different stakeholders.10. Set functional standards for training and skill development programs to increase functional excellence of Operations and Maintenance resources. Own training of head office-based resources.11. Drive innovation across the function with a focus on work methods/ techniques for improvement.12. Improve the quality of data to ensure better decision making internally and client discussions externally.13. Resolve and manage operations and maintenance issues at head office level.14. Understand views from Supply Chain, Legal and Community representatives to evaluate impact on functional execution plan and communicate to respective Directors (Regional, Rollout, PMO, etc.) whose regions and projects may be impacted.15. Develop overall view of the function through consolidated reporting templates.16. Support internal and external consultants throughout pre-development, entitlement, performing appropriate due diligence and compliance with contracts, agreements, or public commitments for a variety of projects with resultant operational effect on customer.17. Develop and implement steps to boost efficiency and optimize Operations department expenditure by supporting optimization of supply chain costs in fleet, regional budgeting, external resource contracts/pricing.18. Accountable for project capital and expense budgets.19. Oversee the implementation of and adherence to Operation?s budget. 20. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the unit.21. Ensure that all audit issues within O&M are cleared by the responsible party.22. Develop/ Define the framework for rollout acceptance procedures from an operations point of view.23. Develop initiatives and intervention techniques to ensure SLA breaches are minimized.24. Collaborate with all functional and regional Managers and explain the customer view across the function.25. Provide inputs into project planning with regards to customer demand and timelines.26. Function as the escalation point for the CTO and drive issues to closure in collaboration with the regional managers.27. Jointly set goals for Regional Operations.28. Encourage seamless work relationship between HQ and Region29. Support head office staff in issue resolutions.30.
