Purpose
Achieving functional excellence through managing the ?customer? dimension of the business, for the Rollout function.
Roll out key infrastructure (new sites and upgrades) across asset lifecycle by successfully identifying and acquiring sites and completing order fulfilment in agreed timelines.
Collaborate with Rollout and SAQ Managers to successfully complete rollout and upgrades of infrastructure.
Act as head office representative of IHS to national level vendors, customers and other stakeholders.
Manage customer relationships from a progress and escalation point of view.
Line management of head office functional resources.
Roll out key infrastructure (new sites and upgrades) across asset lifecycle by successfully identifying and acquiring sites, and completing order fulfilment in agreed timelines and budget with expected quality.
Develop and maintain relationships with Customers at the head office level to accurately express customer demand and manage expectations from within the deployment functional unit.
Collaborate, support in projects, activities of other departments to achieve overall functional and regional objectives.
Set functional standards for training and skill development programs to increase functional excellence of Rollout resources. Action required training courses of head office based resources.
Drive innovation across the function with a focus on work methods techniques and processes for improvement.
Ensure the quality of data shared is optimal to ensure better decision making internally and client discussions externally.
Support the resolution and management of landlord issues at head office level.
Understand views from Supply Chain, Legal and Community representatives to evaluate impact on functional execution plan and communicate to respective Directors (Regional, O&M, PMO, etc.) whose regions and projects may be impacted.
Develop overall view of the function through consolidated reporting templates.
Knowledge sharing with other functions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the unit.
Develop and implement steps to boost efficiency and optimize costs for the unit.
Ensure that all audit issues within Rollout are cleared by the responsible party also within Rollout.
Interaction with Rollout and SAQ Managers
Collaborate with all functional Managers and explain the customer requirements and expectations across the deployment function.
Owns and provide inputs into project planning with regards to customer demand and timelines in line with contractual obligations.
Supports the CTO with the Rollout function yearly budget setting and adherence to provisioned/planned CAPEX budget fulfillment.
Function as the escalation point for the CTO and drive deployment issues to closure in collaboration with the Rollout and SAQ managers.
Set goals for all functional Managers.
Drive execution of tasks and projects.
Encourage seamless working environment across the technical unit.
Support head office staff in Rollout related issue resolutions.
Identify and execute projects for long term success of the Company.
Issue management
Drive resolutions with functional Managers to arrive at resolution to identified issues.
Drive and assess the involvement requirement of CTO for issue resolution, as per processes established.
