We aspire to transform the nature and impact of development assistance and work to strengthen organizations and institutions through innovative approaches to organizational development, reform, and change.Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning OverviewJordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (the Activity) is designed to ensure USAID?s activities in Jordan achieve their intended results through monitoring and evaluation, strategic assessments, and USAID?s Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting approach (CLA). Kaizen will help USAID/Jordan create a dynamic learning environment among development actors, focused on innovation, quality, and knowledge sharing. Through the Kaizen Accelerator, a rapid procurement mechanism, a cohort of Jordanian firms will work with the Activity?s team to successfully deliver activities while simultaneously strengthening their management and compliance systems. The Kaizen approach will provide USAID with high-quality MEL services across its portfolio, build the capacity of local MEL institutions, and ensure programs meaningfully incorporate local participation. The Activity team will ensure program sustainability by building the technical and institutional capacity of one or more local firms that are capable of managing the follow-on MEL Activity in the future.Responsibilities and TasksThe MIS Manager will be responsible for the management of the Mission?s information systems through ongoing support of USAID/Jordan staff, implementing partners (IPs) and other stakeholders in the collection, management and utilization of monitoring data. He/She be responsible for ensuring the data collection and management of data analysis supports the M&E function as well as the success of the project. Responsibilities and tasks will include, but are not limited to: * Manage office information systems, including the knowledge management approaches used on Egnyte * Support USAID in their transition from DevResults to DIS, including ad hoc and timely requests from the Program Office * Design and implement trainings for stakeholders to use DevResults, DIS, GIS, and KaMP to better support project implementation and bolster Mission impact * Lead the upload of new Activity MEL Plan indicators into DevResults with the associated disaggregates and data tables * Reflect Mission changes to the Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP) in DevResults * Ensuring IP compliance with timely data reporting in DevResults on a quarterly basis * Support USAID with data calls for annual Performance Plan and Reports (PPRs), portfolio reviews, quarterly reports, and ad hoc request from technical offices * Help in the analysis of multi-activity indicator data to show overall achievements made by the Mission * Support USAID in the management of their reporting deliverables (e.g., MEL Plans, Quarterly and Annual Reports) * Supervise the GIS Specialist and provide guidance with mapping requests from the Mission and IPsQualifications* University degree in information technology, political science, international development, international relations or related field * At least four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, with 2years? supervisory experience preferredPreferred Qualifications* USAID knowledge regarding information systems and data procedures (especially with reference to ADS 579) * Experience in designing and/or managing monitoring systems * Experience win monitoring and evaluation, including indicator disaggregation and data cleaning * DevResults certificationFor candidates applying for positions based in Kaizens office in Washington, DC, we utilize career.place to mitigate bias in the recruitment process.
