Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:The Human Resources Manager establishes and administers the company?s HR program and strategy including obtaining, maintaining and retaining employees, salary administration, developing and updating HR Policies as well as promoting cohesive employee relations.?POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Selects department training and orientation programs and assigns responsibilities to department staff either directly or through subordinates.?Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance and initiates or makes recommendations for any HR actions.
  2. Develops department goals and objectives, establishes and implements policies and procedures for effective department operation.
  3. Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
  4. Directs the preparation and maintenance of department reports, prepares periodic reports for senior management as required.
  5. Plans, coordinates and administers policies relating to all phases of the company?s HR activities.?Develops department philosophy, goals and objectives & ensures their implementation.
  6. Initiates manpower forecasting exercise annually, studies departmental manpower requests and makes necessary recommendation to the Management.
  7. Reviews and amends salary matrix as and when required
  8. Plans and develops HR program and establishes methods for implementation.?Develops techniques and procedures and activities of recruitment, induction, placement, orientation and training to achieve department objectives.
  9. Establishes uniform employment policies and meets with department heads and supervisors to discuss improvements to working relationships and conditions.
  10. Initiates and recommends policies and procedures necessary to achieve the objectives and ensures maximum utilization and stability of HR.
  11. Initiates and directs surveys related to employee turnover, compensation, benefits, employee morale and other HR considerations.
  12. Coordinates training programs where necessary and recommends appropriate programs.
  13. Investigates causes of disputes and grievances and recommends corrective action.
  14. Supervises the record keeping system ensuring maintenance and up to date employee data in the system.
  15. Administers benefit services and other employer-employee programs, initiates and implements employee suggestions and performance evaluation system.
  16. Conducts wage surveys, prepares reports and recommends procedures to improve organizational performance.
  17. Maintains own professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in the field of expertise
  18. Participates in management and/or executive committee meetings as required, attends and serves professional / civic service organizations as the company?s representative.
  19. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
